When I drag the 1st gear more than 6K~7K rmp then shift up the gear, instead of go to 2nd gear, it goes to neutral. And Kahlalalala sound comes out from the gear box if I continue to try to shift to 2nd gear.........

 

It only happens in this scenario, no problems in changing between other gears in any rpm and no problem when shift from 1st to 2nd gear in lower rpm...........

 

Anyone knows what's go wrong? Is it clutch plate worn out?

You don't know the limit of your bike until you crash it, otherwise you are just not trying hard enough:angry:

erm..i meant the pic that u had posted (can't visualise the area)..

if this is the point that is nearer to the foot peg then is should have no problem,it's the point that is nearer to the front wheel that i think causes the vibration.

Thanks for the clarifications, I'll post a clearer picture. It's the point nearer the foot peg but after putting the spacer the numbness seems to have eliminated and vibrations reduced.

The dent is at below not viewable unless you squat down and see.. the dent say big not big say small not small ... can say medium ? wink wink wink

Hi all,

 

I'm facing tat very same problem; jus tat if i continue i get 1 freaking loud CLARK and the 2nd gear engages. I cant seem to engage 2nd->3rd w/o tat clark sound.

 

asked mechanic. he said could be due to friction plates worn out. anyone knows?

difficulty in gear changing can b caused by worn clutch plates. but for gear 1 change gear to gear 2, need to kick extra hard to bypass the neutral. but to b frank, gear 1 half clutch is not recommanded to drag. the clutch wear faster!! n bigger bikes have louder sound. smaller bikes, not so loud.

 

n to change gear, want to change, change it. wan or dun wan, slowly kick, sure got gear engaging sound.

Yes...that's it. The idea is to let the piston rings sit nicely with the cyclinder wall, much like the gears bearing and all to gently "honed" to fit. You can always arrange a trip up Malaysia and take a ride continuosly not exceeding 90km/hr...max at 100km/hr if the engine don't feel 'rough' at certain period while on ride.

 

As for mineral oil..this is very subjective...oil is oil be it pack in packages for motocycle or for cars. Just don't add any additive for new bikes. You may want to use normal fully synthetic oil but choose the thinnest of vicosity ones..like 0w onwards...xpansive though but worth every cents of your investment in breaking in ur new toy :)

 

I have been using motorcar motoroil all these while though I tried some bike packages ones..but back to those car 4 lyre ones again (no slipage problem at all regardless how I race the bike and fan the (clutch).

 

Bt does it do any wear n tear to the engine if using the 0w spefications? I do read the s4 manuals bt it doesn't include the 0w vicosity in it..tks in advance bro:thumb:
