sad , nobody can answer my question. i change my engine oil without oil filter only 2 mth ago only. HAIZ, and btw EO will evaporate de ma even u 1 yr never change .

 

Not evaporate lah,but it becomes so dirty,it thickens up,becoming a sludge,clingin onto your engine components,causing the engine to run at at higher temperature.Some of the engine oil will also be burned off,not because your oil control rings "koyak" but its normal for 4-stroke engines to consume engine oil abit.

[A] Dont think will affect anything,but good reason for you to change to braided hoses.

 

[A] Many factors bro,steering cone,sitting position(some of us sit abit more to left or right),wheel balancing...

issit illigal for the s4 to install a HID light ? cos i yst install the HID system and was too bright and was wondering will the tp catch the HID light anot ? and if illigal, can the HID system be installing Halogen light ?

HIDs are illegal if it does not come factory installed. Use at your own risk.

Migt want to bring it to the bikeshop,could be steering cone,wheel alignment(especially if the rear wheel alignment not straight after tightening chain) or wheel balancing.

Hie guys.... I ride s4 vt1. As of late, i begin to hear an unusual screeching sound whenever i close throttle or maintain speed at RPM 6k-6.3k. It goes away if i throttle above 6.3k...or rpm drop below 6k. It sounds like metallic screeching.... Ask several mechanics, they say they never heard of it before... Though asked some frens, some say that it could be the engine 'tensioner' loose?? Some say 'floater' or something is loose inside the engine block. Was told that it doesnt affect that much as its more of wear and tear.....unless i hear knocking sound, then got piston prob.

Guys, my bike feel little vibration and wobble when my speed hit 180 and above which hold mi back from going more at the last gear b4 the powercut... checked wid all my other s4 frenz all doesnt hv tis feeling.. wad could b the prob coming from?

probably it's the way u position ur body tat causing the vibration. i travel up to malacca almost every week sometimes i too face tis problem most of the time i juz ignore it anyway improper tyre pressure could also be the cause. street bike at top speed vibration is quite normal.

Guys was wondering if impurities in oil tank will cause any harm to the bike? Recently i went pump petrol and duno out of nowhere 1 small leaf fall into my oil tank, damn freaking suay.. Before i was able to pick the leaf out, it disappear into the oil tank already.. It's quite small but i'm afraid it might caught serious harm to my engine.. Anyone can advise this?

you all find kicking up gear easy anot?? i need to use some strength to kick up the gear. kick down is normal...only problem is kick up..

[A]Hopefuly the leaf with breakdown into smaller particles and can pass thru the carb holes,after that in the combustion chamber is will just burn off without harm,but if it does'nt breakdown into smaller particles,then hard to say,anything can happen.

 

YY87- For the vibration,you might want to get heavy balancers as for the wobble,got many factors,seating position (for me i put my butt all the way back[not until the pillion seat] and lean forward hiding behind the meter and btw i'm 100kg so your position might be different from mine),as what 1299 says tire pressure also plays a part,if your using posh brackets,rear top box,try removing it,lastly try doing wheel balancing.

 

S4 is a streetbike bro,so handling at top speeds cannot be compared to sportsbike.Especially the last corner to GP R&R towards tuas,try going 190+ at slightly above 12.5krpm there and the rear end shakes alot due to the suspension design.

its highly subjective i guess.. a lot of factors to take into consideration like age riding exp ncd etc.. so cant really say which is the cheapest..

 

but if based on one individual, i think shld be ntuc luh.. for me dat is, did a "survey" asking for quotations b4 renewing ins and results for me is ntuc is the cheapest..

yup got light n everything... and one more thing the mileage also not increasing... the number stop running... the rpm working fine...

To my understanding, EO will be 'eaten' up if bike is not warmed up properly all the time.
