I have been riding my DV ffor more than a year n I did not know tat tis site exist.

Riding alone n no body to refer to when kena problem.

At last I found some DV 'kaki'

My first problem was early tis year when I was riding home from Kukup with a friend who was riding the ST1100.

During the ride i experience fuel starvation, no more fuel was on my mind. Turn on to reserve also the same.

Had to stop at the side of the road. Check fuel tank, still got plenty of fuel. Next check the fuel pump - no fuel coming out. Die in Malaysia how to bring back the bike. What I did as a last solution - connect the fuel hose directly to the cab. Kept my toes cross. First click second click brooooommmm!!!! my DV started. Rode back to S'pore without the fuel pump n i m still riding without the the pump.

Anyone has tis experience.

Is there any diff with or without the pump during acceleration?

I just wan some advise do we need the fuel pump?

It cost abt $100++++ for the pump at EverSuccess.

Hi!

Is it easy to connect directly to the carb?

What about your fuel consumption after you reconnect?

thx!

btw you can also go to 'cruiser' section to contact deuville owners. I just bought one.

Anyone fixed any crash bars/guard on the bike... Cos the 2 black things protruding out from the side looks kinda of flimsy.

Just tried the bike to Melaka...Maintain 120km/h sweetly with pillion. Can gunned it to 140km/h while over taking easily. Haven't gone beyond 140km/h as I've got precious cargo behind... Vibrations is abit of bother after 120km/h though...need to take a look at the mounting and so forth... as I just took over a 5 year old bike with 62000km on the clock... :giddy:

Consumption about 17km/l at that speed....

OLD NO GO, NEW NO COME.

I 've just bought a DV 700, which is fuel injection and is a total appearance change. It has 4valves per cylinder. During the running in period, the gears are very rough, and expect vibrations when new. The engine is hot as it is a V Twin. Fuel consumption is pretty good @ about 23kilometre per litre. Understand from the specs that it can hit up to 190kmh at top speed, but will be trying when I am riding up to Thailand this November. Currently after the run in period, had hit 120kmh in local road and is quite responsive. Road holding is superb and cornering is very stable.

Hi Honda Rider, I am interested to get a DV700. Can you advise the cash price you paid and you bought it from Boon Siew or bike dealer. Thanks.

hi wanjai.

I bought the Deauville NT700 from Mah Pte Ltd at $22.6k OTR. Was given a pair of racing gloves ( $80 ) free. I trade in my 10 yrs old PC 800 for $6000. The rest was. Enquired from Boon Siew, they cost about 23+K for the ABS ones, and for the the one W/O ABS is 22+K.

The while one W/O ABS has been sold in Boon Siew. So far seen another 2 more, one is Gun metal colour and one is gold sold in Mah Pte Ltd. There is another black one left in Mah Pte which is quite beautiful, but it will look small in black.

Overall it is a powerful bike, will put up a field report when I ride up to Thailand in this Nov. So far no regrets, the only set back is it is a little bit hot when stuck in the jam. Save all trouble meddling with wheel chains.

Hi, I'm posting on behalf of a friend.

He's looking for a sincere buyer who can take over his DV650(FT plate).

He does not know the market situation for DV650s now, so its tentatively priced at SGD7.5k, but he is extremely willing to negotiate upon viewing.

Please do not post your quiries here or PM me as I have no further information regarding the bike. Pls contact Mr Mustafah (the owner) at 91897650 if you are interested. Thanx!
