Firstly, i wanna say let's make this a proper ride and not an 'ah beng ah seng or mat i see you there in 20mins' ride. safety should be of an utmost importance as i'm sure all of us have loved ones at home. if you guys wanna play, can do so on the way back and not to Kulai, where some of us might not know the way. i want to be leading riders there and not look for lost sheep or leave 'kids' behind to ride on their own..

Hence the safety brief. In the future we can use this as a template for future long rides.

Lead Bike: Dinie

Second Bike cum Marker: Dzal

Last Bike: Cyrix

Riding Speed = 110km/h to 120km/h, depending on traffic conditions.

Route>>> Jurong Bird Park Carpark > Toll after Malaysian Checkpoint > Esso GP > travel along Second Link > enter filter lane to NSH leading towards Kuala Lumpur > travel along NSH > exit at second Kulai Exit > Kulai Nasi Lemak(in red are re-group points where we will all stop and do a headcount/top-up petrol.

Pointers to note:

1) You are responsible for the man in front and behind you.

2) Keep at least two car lengths and at most three car lengths to the rider in front of you in a staggered formation. This is to keep our formation tight and prevent any vehicle from cutting into the group. It is important that you keep a staggered formation so that in the event the rider in front of you swerves, or brakes hard, you will have ample time to react.

3) Only the lead bike and last bike will travel in the middle of the lane, so we each know where's the head and tail of the group, so the lead bike can increase or decrease the speed accordingly.

4) It is only courteous and polite of you to stick to the riding speed, not too fast or not too slow.

5) Never ever overtake the rider in front of you even if he is slow; if everybody follows rule number 4, all will be fine. Maintain the convoy integrity.

6) Have a good rest tonight and don't have a heavy meal before the trip.

7) Only the lead bike is allowed to use high beam. With such a close formation, there is no need for other bikes to use high beam as there'll be a lot of light from others' low beam. Using high beam will only blind the bikers in front of you.

8) Should there be a need for you to stop by the shoulder, switch on your hazard lights and flash the bike in frontof you repeatedly.

9) Only start to stop by the shoulder once the whole group starts to stop by the side. Do not break away on your own.

10) Lane-changing. Remember, lane-changing in a convoy is not a one-bike affair. More than 10 bikes need to lane change at one-time, thus we need a lot of space. Lead bike will signal his intention to lane-change and all will signal also. Last bike will switch lanes first. The lead bike will then lane change and all will follow.

11) Lastly, always go straight, don't take any filter lanes unless you see the second bike aka marker at the chevrons on hazard lights. Which is why we should keep our formation tight. Should the group break apart, due to a vehicle cutting you in front, don't panic. Just overtake the vehicle if a safe manner as quick as you can. The group will be riding slower on the left lane until the rear pack rejoins.

Have a fun ride everybody, and enjoy the Nasi Lemak. Even though you might be an experience rider, you still have to follow rules as there are other people travelling with you, not just yourself. Think about others and not yourself. Together we can make it a safe and enjoyable ride for everybody. A final word: Language of conversation tomorrow is English. Not Malay or Chinese. We are a multi-racial group and we should all cherish one another.

Things to bring are: passport with filled white card, RM3.20 in toll, RM for makan and petrol and cashcard with at least $1.40 inside. oh, also an empty stomach!

Attire: Minimum trousers, covered shoes and shirt/t-shirt. advised to wear gloves, full-face helmet and riding jacket. those without minimum attire will be left behind and you will not join the convoy ie ride there on your own. It will only be an inconvenience to the rest should you suffer severe injuries because you didn't wear the bare minimum. Naz, no bermudas for tomorrow please. Those who think its not necessary to wear minimum attire can ask Motofreak if its worth it.

Thank you and cheers with beers!

btw found this on the net by someone in an internet forum, Maybe people interested to know.

"But, compared to an ethylene glycol mixture (the green stuff), yes, Engine Ice does not transfer heat as well. This translates to lower radiator temperatures but higher cylinder head temperatures.

.......... By the way, the article in Dirt Rider magazine that tested the various coolants was in the July 2006 issue. I could not find an online link to it, though. The test consisted of temperature readings at both the radiator and the cylinder head using the same motorcycle."

Untimatly, in the end, the choice is yours.

This thread getting gay-er by the day man...Hahahahaha....

hmmm,so to your theor is tat,if we use normal (green stuff) should be quite o_O

That is not my theory. If you wan, add food colouring, I think can change the colour from green to red or black or even white....see what is ur fav colour.

My theory is measurement of temperature must be taken at the engine side to really see if the cooland it effect in removing the heat, Not judge by the coolant temperature guage (temperature shown on the bike's console).

And there is no need of ethylene glycol mixture for our weather. Speding on something that got no use for our weather. Anyway its juz something I found out in the net. So just sharing the info. Open for debate.

Nah his damages is juz too much...the time taken thinking of sending for repair is almost equivalent to the repair itself. So its a fair deduction on the time of repair.

Electronics easier to repair....cannot work...pay high price and change the comonent lor. EFI is readily available at a VERY affordable price hehhe
