Its the same as hydrolic clutches...not all bikes are made the same...example, African Twin & BMW GS, do you mean they cannot travel at slow speed? If cannot, then how to negotiate rough terrain? Must move at 100km/h on sandy patches? Coz scared overheat?

 

Further more to see what bike the best is to see what TP uses. The bikes are workaholic man. I wonder how much they clock in a year. They won't get a bike which is high maintenance do they?

1000cc bikes will overheat fast then our bikes.. is bcos i try in convoy b4.. and when we reach destination... they all complaint overheat haha.. like roasted chicken liao haha:cheeky:

yeah TP not using Race bikes... but i guess their is similar to us... touring and street... so the condition should be the same... unless u saw a TP riding his bike go offroad and go up the sandy road and try to do sum road checking:cheeky:

eh... at its limit when its stock???? if not wrong i try when after my 1st oil change.... mean at 500km ++ as for the 600cc stock pipes = illegal... and wat we wan is to make our bike more pretty and perfect with the pipes... not only need the sound... yes we are harley but i dun think harley sound similar to our... as their machine is on diff type of engine...

Actually, another reason i like the GSR so much even after riding for 2 years plus is that it is so SILENT that when u overtake ppl.... hahah they never realise u are coming... haha

Hey guys... been awhile since I clock my post here liao. Was away for 3 weeks to serve my nation.

 

Anyway... read all the post about the pipe and such. It's interesting to know there are some thing going on. Anyway, I'm just a lazy fellow... I'm not anxious for the pipe to be legal as it is not a big deal IMO. If have... then good... got an option to "upgrade" the performance of the bike...(i.e. aftermarket pipe + PCIII = increased BHP)

 

I do agree with Ah gui about GSR being the silent killer... have rode smaller cc bike before and have been "shocked" by some silent bigger cc bikes overtaking me ... so with GSR, I too have kinda "shocked" a couple of smaller bike when I overtake them without them knowing that I am right behind them all these while.

 

FYI... this GSR can make nice purrr sound if you know how to ram up the rpm at lower gears... try hitting 10k rpm at first gear then kick to second and maintain the rpm above 10k rpm... you will hear the roar of ur engine and feel the lightness of your GSR.

 

Overall... I just want to say that GSR is a great machine even at it's stock level. Nevertheless, do not give up the hope in getting aftermarket pipe... keep on the spirit and hopefully one day ... it will HAPPEN!

 

Ok ok ... talk talk talk so much.... now finally back to my civilian life again... hope to have some riding back again.... so anyone interested in Kulai again? I am thinking of going Kulai on this Friday 29th May. Anyone interested in joining me... pm me. If more than five pmed me then I will start the list...

yeap the stock bike can do quite a lot already and when you ride it on the track, it really has that gixxer sound. not 400cc sound. that's cos they share the same engine albeit a smaller one. hence the sound is also softer.

As long as I have a few biker companions going, then it's ON. Purpose is to go there to chill and enjoy the nasi lemak while taking the chance to clear my carbon built up.

Maybe we haven't met before... but rest assure when I say I'm ON, I'm ON. I am not so familiar with roads at Mlysia, but I would prefer to take on the NSH... partly becos it's gonna be night time and there's nothing much to sightsee... and partly I prefer the thrill of "unrestricted freedom of throttle" on NSH.

 

So tentatively, I'll put you in my list that you're interested to go. Timing will be 9.00pm at GP petronas. I dun mind going even if it's just the two of us.

Engine ICe? Unique Motor says it's good, but some GSR riders think otherwise.

well, it costs 80 dollars!

 

Normal Flush Coolant will cost around $20 ++, excluding the coolant (diff brand, diff price)
