If I translate correctly, the 09 GSR's mid pipe is in the middle. Just by moving the mid pipe. They say something about power output is also different. How I wish I learn japs hahahha

 

Can anyone with the 09 GSR confirm that you mid as show in the pics?

 

Maybe someone with good linguistics can decipher this

The pipe are similar to what i found on this catalogue...check it out u can ignore the last e-mail i sent to you cause need to register...

the catalogue is with me in PDF im afraid it a big file to upload here...

As you can see the old mid pipe is with the big oval honey-comb section then another extended pipe-line to the end cans, where else this pipe is fixed from the front-end header & direct pipe line without any other obstructions towards the end cans, in other words they remove the catalyzer straight away to get direct exhaust flowing towards the end cans...whoo boy....

 

Yeah one more thing- this is a new Poison - kinda...

the second pick shows a lower kit...it seems like its lower than normal....... btw some of the gsr riders have already remove the catalyser... some didnt remove, but they mod it making it a through passage in the catalyser...

u can actually just buy the mid section pipe from, if im not wrong, motoworld...must ask wildcard, got discuss with him before......

Ive tried reading it using a translation webbie. The english and words are a bit all over the place, but I think i understand wat they are trying to say..

IMO, wat they meant is tat this is a required modification to the mid pipe(by moving it forward) of the 09GSR400 in order for it to pass the JMCA inspection if the bike were to be fixed with the WR'S cans which is developed for 06-08 models..further down they say this is still in developing stages...

I did a visual comparison on suzuki's japan website (found one that can actually see the mid pipe). And its true, the 09 model's mid is pushed to the front. I guess that is the reason for WR'S not able to get a JMCA for their pipe.

- Catalyzed Dynamic Straight Construction Exhaust System.

- The drain bolt removable with the exhaust system installed.

 

Does that mean the pipe got catalyzer? If yes, got chance to remove the mids hahahha.

Mine still ok.

Unlike Encik Sodin who prefers quiet pipes, I prefer mine loud. So no need organic. :p

mid pipe can get the arrow. cost 150 or 250 only. i forgot excatly how much. but its for 600cc but inpection can pass i tink. visual only those who ride gsr can see the diff. and not easy to spot the diff. go biketech to see.

INSPECTION FAIL. SUMMON IS $700, if im not wrong. TP n LTA are not KOK people. they are also riders on or off duty... :(

Seng Kwang is better and at cheaper price ( way cheaper ). he can make it thru and direct hole from the catalyzer itself. works the same way (of coz way way cheaper)..

 

 

BUT BEAR in MIND, if using the arrow mid pipe, and if u going for annual inspection, prepared to be failed. prepare the cash to pay the fine if caught by TP or LTA.

ehem...its very easy to spot the difference... unless does who ride the )( version, then its difficult to spot. must stop them in order to see...

normal.... but if it hits 90-95 during winter, then its not normal..

The dude who sold me my pipe, his own Hornet has custom made headers and midpipes. Still pass inspection.

 

Then again, how did my own bike clear through? :)

 

Seriously, they're more concerned with loudness. CO2 emissions, if still within norm limits, will still pass.

PC3 tuning does help.

Like i said. Go organic. If need to go for inspection then put back in the lemang(baffle). Sure ok one. From what i know, inspections are usually dependent on the technician itself. IF he feeling happy, all can pass. If not, a freaking aftermarket handlebar also they say FAIL.

agreed. if scare this scare that then must as well keep to stock. if i`m not wrong lta standard is anything but stock is fail. so if tp stop or lta stop you and go smell ur pipe bcoz he suspect u change the mid section then u are damn unlucky. so guys inspection is only once a year, worth the risk or not is up to oneself. many pple might not agreed but this is my own way of seeing it.

anyway guys as we were saying at simpang just now the plam resort is at senai airport there. not really sure how to go. maybe dzal who quite fam with malaysia road can help us. i tink 2d1n event is enough. sat go sun back. 45 mins ride from sg. best time to go nov. dec sch holiday tink will haf alot pple. interested?
