Thanks for the info. But is there any recommended shop to go and get things done as Hkl are just pushing to sell their products to customers.

Unfortunately, HKL and Racewerks are the only 2 dyno operators left in SG.

The 3rd has moved to a new shop and not taking his dyno machine along.

There is a 4th but the top tuner in that shop has long since left the place and I dun think they operate the dyno there anymore.

Seriously, you just have to know what you want and tell them what you specifically want and just say no to others.

Example, you want:

1 PC3

a custom map with the preferred parameters (you want maximum top end, you want a great torque machine or you want a general great ride).

If you are riding a 600, you will need a:

O2 sensor eliminator

That's the basics you need.

If either shop tries to push you other products, it is NOT necessary. I'm not saying it may not help or increase your bike's potential maximum but the basic minimum you need to your bike tuned are above.

I know how you feel.

No names involved but the last time I approached one of the shops, they tried to push a GiPro TRE plus some extra accessories.

If you did enough research and you know what's involved and, most importantly, what you want, then be firm about it.

Correct muz do homewerk so at min people can't push what you want and need in the 1st place. Furthermore it sets you mind focus on what you go there to do. Only that and nothing more. With Internet, information is readily available. One juz need to google hahah.

If yours is a 400cc, its a 400, how much performance can you get? hahaha.

Same theory goes for 600cc.

At the end of the day, its still the rider. Be it you tune for performance, fc or general. Learn how to use the machine (the tuner in this case) does help in the long run. Every machine and man are built differently. Like those on the track they will do fine tuning to suit the road conditions and them. Sometimes butts tells the tales hahaha.

Its true.

Read this excerpt from my old forgotten blog on my first experiences after a dyno mapping.

http://ghostredux.blogspot.com/2008/08/ghosts-working-out.html

If you look at the chart and see the figures in a statistical manner, the increase isn't really much.

But when you ride it and really push it, the difference can really be felt.

No sluggishness, no reluctance to accelerate and no more jerky low-to-mid range transition.

Personally that's worth the money you put in into it.

Others may prefer numbers but I feel it matters most when you sit on it and really push that set of 'numbers' to its fulfilment...

So its not worth to do the Power Com and dyno run? Its quite a big sum so if its going to be a waste then i'll just bypass it.

If you are hoping the 400cc to match 600cc (stock) power after tuning, then forget about it. Save your money and get a 1000cc bike. A lot of physical factors involves here.

It depends on you. And how deep the pocket can go. There are alternatives anyway. Its not like PC is the only one available in the whole world.

These devices tune the air/fuel ratio. This will make the bike more enjoyable to ride. They call this drivability. It give you confidence on the road.

If there is nothing wrong with your current mods, there is no necessity to tune those. Usually tuned to get rid of the flat spots or those bok bok sound (backfires). Especially the later, its bad for the engine in the long run. Not to mention causing a nuisance to other road users with your 'popping' pipes.

Not necessarily need to go on dyno, if you know how to do it. Learning is an ongoing thing. Time is equal to money. If you got no time, fork out the money. This also refers to the devices. If the device is easy to use, costs more money to buy since the manufacturers already thought of everything. hahah.

At the end of the day the ball is still in your court. Understand your needs then the people can advice. From what I can see, you seems not to know what you want and need. DO NOT FOLLOW MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO THEORY.

Ok i don't know where you got the idea about me wanting to be on par with the 600cc ok, and i don't understand why would i be "Monkey see Monkey Do" coz i was merely asking what is the difference.

Of course i don't know what i want i've been riding this bike for 2 days what do you expect.

Coz you asked about jaw dropping performance. Y Monkey See Monkey Do??? Simple. You see people tune and put PCIII...you also wan....hahahah. Ain't it correct?

Of course i don't know what i want i've been riding this bike for 2 days what do you expect.

From your list of bikes, you state CB400. You are farmiliar with 400cc bikes rite? Anyway PC is the same concept of changing jetting and tuning the carburetor on your CB400. For performance. Simply said.

That is why I said you need to know what you need and want first before asking. If not it is a pain ass of a time trying to guess and ASSuME what you wanted.

It is always good to get to know the bike first before operating on it. Unless you have a hell lots of money and dunno what to do with it.

Use the search function or google to find out more wat....information about the products are available on their webby. We cannot explain 100% of how the item works from A to Z. Have some balls and do a bit of homework.

Hahah do you actually understand what is the meaning of a forum?

Forum - a public meeting or assembly for open discussion.

If did say open discussion. It did not say all quicky info found here.

PC3 was about $600 inclusive of dyno.

Dyno alone is $180 thereabout.

You can source for 2nd hand PC3. Look for those that can fit GSXR600 or GSXR750 K4-K5. Not GSXR1000.

They will work for GSR400 as well.

Thanks for the info. But is there any recommended shop to go and get things done as Hkl are just pushing to sell their products to customers.

Hahah do you actually understand what is the meaning of a forum?

Forum - a public meeting or assembly for open discussion.

If did say open discussion. It did not say all quicky info found here.

Anyway peace, since I have totally offended you front and back. Looks like I am not qualify to answer any of your questions.

No worries, abit immature of me to argue about such miniscule matters.
