May I know what base plate cum rack you are using? I mean brand/model. Interested to put up a rack so can put my canvas hahah.

Hmm... My base plate not so nice on der... Its Hepco Decker brand for GSR 400/600 model. Direct bolt on. Now waiting for the Explorer Top Box to come.

starting to feel like family already

i just placed a deposit and should be collecting my bike(2nd hand thou) in a couple of days time. look forward to hanging out and learning mechanical stuff from u guys(im really an idiot - once interviewed for a car OEM parts sales job and the person asked me to name the parts n i could only like name radiator, clutch.. .)

i often hang out with some friends at yishun dam on sunday evenings, chat n hav dinners..but ermmm relax one.. all scooters.. so any bros stay ard e area hope u can pm me n catch up. cos e thread not user friendly. not to mention some user not friendly.

but then i strongly believe bikers should take care of bikers

Hello all, I don't really forum much but apparently - A buddy of mine just got a "FBB" plate 2nd hand GSR 400. And it sounded wicked!

 

I ride the ABS version first hand. I love my ride but she's a very quiet girl. Engine reminds me of a "Toned down taxi engine" somewhat chunked.

 

I gave my friend's GSR a test drive and I realized that his engine(not exhaust) - Even on the low revs - Gives off a really smooth, powerful purr. It gets way better than that on high revs. (What's going on?)

 

As for me on high revs - Sounds like a small ferri replica. Rather coarse in some sense.

 

Am a little worried. What do you guys think? Experiences anyone?

sold for 8k

initially got some one offered 9k but then i held out hoping to get another offer. then 1 week later he decided not to then no choice trade in.

past 2 days got ppl enquire, but then i already paid a deposit with ASphoon..

 

ermm guys i quite another very noob question to ask.. hope won start another war here...

different gears what speed or rpm but u change up or down?

previously stil can use abit of feel.. but been a long long time since i used clutch.. plus.. e bike is extremely loud.. i get this feeling im stressing the engine leh.. i asked a neighbour who also rides a gsr he say sound loud but nice.. bike seems lower and tank smaller... idling also higher.. neutral the rpm is at 1.5

 

whats the FC. tank how many litre? reserve stil can go how far?

tried search manual couldnt find any

i also newbie but my gsr with me coming 1mth liaoz. Also fbb9xxxg.

So far no complaints. Fuel tank should be 16L. I usually pump btw 12-13l.

1litre estimate can go btw 25-30km depends how u ride. i dun revv too much.

i usually change gear before 5k rpm unless got need for speed... kekeke...

Reserve i est should be abt 3-4litres. Est from the blinking Fuel indicator.

I guess from blinking last gap low fuel indicator at least another 50km safely.

 

I noticed some vibration/roughness approaching 78km to 90km. Afterwhich ok liaoz... Urs samma samma??? 100kph rpm 6k. Idiling abt 1.2-1.3k So far the maximum temp i encounter on a hot sunny afternoon is 97 Degrees. Night riding usually below 90 Degress. However can feel the HEAT man.... At our Knee area below the Fuel tank.

 

By the way i changed my brake lines to those steel braided. And also changed new brake pads. This little investment i reckon u can consider also. I also installed a Scott Oiler. Next would be my Hepco Box and Sliders...
