Sorry man, I don't really get what you mean? Break down of cost for a 2nd hand GSR4? If you are talking about machine price, insurance, road tax and such, the prices varies by a large extent.

Also, what kind of service are you talking about? Replace engine oil and filter? Bleed brake lines? Replace chain and sprockets? Replace coolant? Air filter? There are many things you can "service", it is just how deep are your pockets and do you regularly maintain your bike.

For any 2nd hand bike, do look for any visible damage to the bike. If there are signs of spray paint, immediately suspect that the bike is an accident bike or not? Make sure that the parts are in good order and do a test ride to ensure nothing is knocking about. More importantly, get the bike from reputable shops! The fuel tank can hold 16.6L worth of fuel and FC varies, dependent on your riding style and what did you put onto the bike.

Hiya Dave, seems like you've got yourself a problem there. You need to diagnose what is actually happening to your bike by shorting the dealer plug. That is the white plug covered with rubber cap on the left hand side of the bike cover. Put a wire on the top 2 connectors and check out the error code that is on the display.

Tally it with the error codes in the manual and tackle the problem accordingly.

Alternatively, I see that you are staying in Jurong West which I am too. If you don't mind, I could try to help you as I'm gonna go down to do something to my bike now.

Servicing is very subjective here.

EO + Filter = Approx 120 (EO fully syn)

Spark plug = 32 (8 x 4) or 80 (20 x 4(Iridium))

Bleeding of brake oil is approx 20-30 at most.

Enjoy ur ride. I can only help this much.

It seems the GSR thread is getting quite cold these days. Why not an outing to KKFC for TCSS? or perhaps a movie outing? :D Oh, DIYs too?

Hi Sham, did you check your fork seals? They could be the ones that are causing the leaking. Here is a guide to replace them. I have to apologize as I do not know where to source out the fork tubes for you in Singapore

However, I've found out a link on Ebay to a guy who do sell the fork tubes. You could order it online and get it shipped to Singapore and have your trusted mechanic to fix them on.

Also, why not start a "Suzuki GS500" group on the naked bike section and broaden the range to include the newer GS500F which comes with fairings, I believed that there are some riders out there who are riding this bike.

Hi guys, just got myself a 2nd Hand GSR400 today. Hope to join u guys if got any DIY/outing to learn more about this Japanese beauty.

Btw, anyone got a pdf of the english user manual? I have managed to find and download the service manual online but cant seem to find the user manual. The previous owner was kind enough to provide the user manual but its in Japanese.

I'm aware that the GSR400 comes only with the jap manual so maybe any chance that someone has the English version for GSR600?

Its the same right?

Congratulations on your purchase!

Hmm, I wasn't aware that there is a user manual? Ha, I must have missed it since it was in Japanese. Even so, I've found the service manual for the GSR600 more than adequate in doing most of the servicing I need.

Anyway, you might wanna try Guan Hoe and ask them if they have the user manual for the GSR6. Somewhere within this thread, there is a forumer who got a english manual for the GSR6 from Guan Hoe. You could try your luck too?

Yup, there is a user manual! Thanks for the tip bro. Maybe will try my luck when i'm free then. Going for reservist next week cos of SYOG. Wont be able to enjoy the thrill of my new ride for 2.5 weeks.

Anyway, anyone here has printed the service manual? All 477 pages of it? Tiring for the eyes to read page by page on the computer screen.

I'm tempted to go to a printing shop to get it printed and binded.

Maybe its just me, but i like to read these kinda manuals like a novel, learning every part of the bike inside and out. :)

Anyway, i'm riding a blue GSR with and FBD plate. So fellow GSReans, if you spot this noob on the road, feel free to wave, yell, horn, scream, and say hi!

I would be more than please to make frens.

Ride safe my fellow comrades on wheels!

Interesting, really, I would like to get the PDF version of the GSR6 Manual. Might I go down someday then. Thanks for sharing.

Reminds me, yesterday while I'm heading towards the east on PIE nearing Eng Neo exit, I saw a blue GSR, FBD plate with a pillion and the dude exited on Steven exit, might it be any of the bros here?

I believed the LV pipes is sucking Rex outta of his money, think the FC is horrible. Fuel like water! Hey Rex, lets head to north for a short trip for makan and pump?

Speaking of which, EJ, I really would like to know where did you get your belly pan from?

Was thinking of getting the Ermax one but seems like the one piece belly pan that you have is really cool.

Lately, the idling speed of my GSR400 becomes very inconsistent, rpm needle fluctuating when bike is not moving. Tried increasing the engine idling speed but it doesnt help. Anyone knws what could be the cause of this?
