friends .. I am confused in the below 2 service packages from Unique motors for my GSR400. Bought the bike in Nov 10 and not sure what all is done and when the last service was done properly. Though the bike is not complaining .. but its reaching 50K. So the first Kiasu thought was to get everything done and to the best level .. and forget about it. As such money is not much of a concern .. but the idea is .. relevancy of whatever is done and if it make sense.

Could you guys please advise and comment on the packages below.

Also which is a better option Denso or NGK for iridium spark plugs?

$250 PACKAGE

• NGK Iridium Spark Plugs

• Motul 7100 10w40/20w50 or OWS 900 Synthomax Xtreme 100% Fully Synthetic Engine Oil

• Oil filter

• Radiator Flush + Engine Ice High Performance Coolant

$318 PACKAGE

• NGK Iridium Spark Plugs

• Motul 7100 10w40/20w50 or OWS 900 Synthomax Xtreme 100% Fully Synthetic Engine Oil

• Oil filter

• Radiator Flush + Engine Ice High Performance Coolant

• OWS 210 Engine Flush

• OWS 220 Engine Protector

• OWS 360 Gas Treatment

If you want to save money, you can forego the following

- Iridium Spark Plugs, normal plugs will do just fine.

- Engine Ice Coolant, this coolant contains glycol which is not needed for our climate. Will save more if using normal coolant.

- Engine Oil, as long as you change it timely, there is no need to do a flush.

For spark plugs, I prefer to do it before the bike starts so I DIY. Reason, when you reach the bike shop, the engine is hot thus the threads are expanded. There is a chance of 'killing' the plugs' threads if you overtightened.

But in the end, its your money and means. Hahhaa

Thanks IvikaRazI, So in nutshell .. no point of going for

OWS 210 Engine Flush

• OWS 220 Engine Protector

• OWS 360 Gas Treatment

Engine Ice .. which probably Unique wants to recommend .. though not much of use. A normal Motul or stock would do the job just fine.

If my pole lights are red led, can pass inspection?

If you are worried abt this , you can just use a black tape to tape up the pole lights area first b4 going there , and remove it after your inspection.

Now still got new gsr4? I thought no more in production?

If you ask the bikeshops nicely....I'm sure they can bring in....and yes Japs still producing them. Reason why no new ones is because of Japs Yen Prices. Would you pay for a 400cc bike for 19k-21k?
