imben, fyi, spec 3 n GSR, both bikes almost similar in terms of maintenance, FC etc... GSR will have a slightly higher price for maintenance thanx to the larger engine oil capacity, n bigger tyre. TZM is 2 stroke so use 2T. we use 4T. FC wise, both ard the same from 20-23km/l for normal riding... the rest, almost the same. parts availabiltiy, of cos spec 3 cos S4 is in the market for very long already whereas GSR only 1 year plus...

 

guess this can help u to decide between spec 3 n GSR. price wise, u have to find out urself.

After checking, then decide whether this extra money is worth spending on the more stylish GSR. :thumb:

u and me have the same mind set...i thought of getting a scrambler for weekend use as everyday i use my current bike..for class 2 what cc of scrambler is available?

dont say that you're not going to upgrade to class 2. cos i said that once. now only after 9 months of riding the bike, i'm already getting bored of it. now thinking of getting a class 2 scrambler/motard for the weekends or just for the fun of it.

 

yea, i know. but i still got 2 more years before going in NS so my next bike will be on long term, very hard to get a class 2 bike when in NS too. =)

hello guys...hows things? went to SBBF and its was ok lah...tje convoy was suck...i thought they came all at one time but come in stages...the vendor also sucks nothing much...and the stunt...haiz really nothing...wheelie here then burnout a bit thats it...but the bikes are cool...ah gui was in the convoy...here really that free ah...ok lah...

new chain can use about 2 week. after which u need to clean the chain. clean as in get rid of the grease on the chain cos it sure collect small stones n sand... after cleaning then lub...

 

Best will be 2 -3weeks lub ur chain. for cleaning can be 1 or 1.5 mth once.

that will b too long esp if u ride on rainy days. ideally, every tank of petrol u pump, u lub once n thats the best. if not, 2 tanks 1 lub. n after riding on wet road, best is re-lub the chain cos the water had already get rid of the oil on the chain.

u nvr lub ur chain rite? after wash or riding on rainy days all need to lub. as long as got water contact, re-lub... troublesome!! but if u want the chain to look nice n last, have to do it else live with it.

everyone got their things to do wat. u can't expect all to login 247 rite? no need to wash lah... later rain again then waste ur effort. its a good practice to cover ur bike after washing n waxing cos it protects it from the weather. the new riders, i think they go running in.
