Guys better check the price first before go to that shop. That shop also got sell Royal Purple Engine Oil but is expensive lor.... Royal Purple chain lub also have but very ex also $19 per bottle. JUST REMEMBER TO find out the price before you go....Beware.

Guys if you want to get LED bulb can order from YongCheng but dont buy him areoplane. i have tested his bulb...i found is not so bad lor. Lots of colours available if intersted can PM him.

hi guys, i just got my bike from the bikeshop.. whoa feels damn shiok.. but got some minor problems that needs help ;p

 

1. due to parallel import, my bike doesnt come with the english version of the owner manual.. the manual is in jap words. was wondering anybody here knows where i can dl or purchase the english version of the owner manual as i kinda need it urgently to do my regular servicing and diy

 

2. without the manual, i do not know the functions such as how to set the time on my speedo and stuff.

 

3. i need to know whats the running in mileage? cause i need to plan for the 1st , 2nd and 3rd oil change? normally these 3 oil change are free and the bikeshop i think will use mineral right. so what are the recommended factory oil change interval.

 

4. i am riding below 4k rpm and not exceeding 65km.hr for my running in. how long do i have to run in this way?

 

basically i think all my questions can be answered with the owner manual. in the manual i can fin out wad spark plugs are recommend, what visosity of eo to use and etc ..so i hope to get some on the owner manual. but if got lao jiao experience on the bike , then better still

i dont know abt u but i have enquiry abt a pipe at jurong east a company for scrambler and touring bike and they have this pipe call scorpion for GSR400 i have not seen it but i have ask the shop owner...its cost abt $1400 plus installion and to make it legal...when im free i will head down to this shop and find out more...

Scorpions cans, up to you coz I no plans to get end cans rite now. Do a bit of search around on the Internet and Youtube to find out more.

 

All external parts for 400 are the same for 600.

This will answer all your future questions also....

thanks bang...about the december trip confirm or not? then about the bbq or chalet that you going to plan? need help or what?

 

sorry 1 more thing each time i start my bike before going to wrk some rider advice me to warm my bike till abt 70 degress then move off...now the bike make a rattling sound around the engine before moving off is this normal? before the bike does not make this grrrrr sound. im not worried just puzzled.

a friend told me try to install a revtec it will make my bike smoother is this true? i dont want to install anything just because friend telling.. i would rather ask u or those know abt this...pls advice...

hi guys, i just bought a gsr400 today.. looking forward in joining future rides with u guys ya. i am looking for some accessories to be fixed onto the bike but not sure where to get them.

 

1. i am actually going to fix in the hepco becker side panniers.. not sure if anybody had fixed it before. cause don know want to fix the 30l or 40l one?

 

2. i saw wildcard had some red lightbulbs fixed at the front headlight. wonder where i can get them too ya?

 

3. how to tell the difference between a 06 or 07 gsr400 model?

 

4. how do i run in my engine? slow ride below certain rpm and speed?

 

5. what kind of engine oil and spark plug do u guys normally used? cause for the past yrs and my bikes, i had been using esso gold, motul 300v engine oil and those cheap ngk $4 spark plug.. so not sure for this bike can use which kinda.

 

6. as i will need like 3.2l of eo, how often do u guys change your oil. use to ride scramblers and i changed my oil every mth but i think i will go broke changing 3.2l of oil every mth.

 

7. for oil filter, i normally change every 2 oil change. do u guys practise this as well?

 

8. i use to go scrambler specialists to do up my bike last time and first time riding a naked bike. thus i am not sure where is a good place to service your gsr?

 

sorry for asking too many questions ya. cause my past bikes are all scramblers thus still kinda of new to an EFI technology haha... still old school mentality..
