Heard the latest news about the ban for foreign vehicles to top up in Malaysia within 50 Km from borders?

Temporary measure before they come up with new policy....

Wonder how well it will work...

300 petrol stations littered all over Johor within 50km, some at strategic locations for Singapore vehicles...

Lets all head beyond Kulai... ahahah

Lets face reality... soon, the time for cheap petrol is really over...

Its time to rethink priorities... sigh...

Sigh ... I also heard from one of my jb friend who sms me last night about the decision of banning foreign vehicle to pump at their petrol kiosk at 50km vacinity of the nearest border. Haiz ... that means we have to travel 50.01km away from the border to pump our petrol ... soon you will see many petrol kiosk starting to shift their location at the 50km margin :D

I am a regular customer of the shell station near the custom ... hope that the uncles who know me allow me to still pump there ... will try to test water this coming weekend ... see what happen ... if there will be any enforcer or not?

If worst come to worst ... park my bike somewhere secluded and bring in 5litre bottle and pump into the bottle and transfer ... :D

Or

Maybe the station will have a hidden pump ... where they will direct foreign vehicle to pump petrol ... hehe ...

All sorts of ideas comes into my mind ...

Damn Mlysia government wanna get back their words becos they lost the stupid piece of rock ... to Singapore ....

Nothing is going to deter me from going into JB to pump my petrol ... if it means to travel 50 km from the border .... so what? I still still bring in my spare fuel container ... and pump 3-5 litre into it ... when near the custom will just top up my fuel tank using the spare fuel container ... it means to pump more petrol ... but still it is worth ... much cheaper then sillypore's petrol ...

plus buying ciggy there is 1/2 of sillypore too ....

So many option to beat the system ....

Let's hope they dun raise the "real deal" during september where they will impose no subsidies to foreign vehicle nationwide ... :(

What do you all think ?

As for the ABS ... I think I personally liked it alot becos of my riding pattern ... my previous ride .... always fish tailing .... now no more fish tailing ... so it is a whole lot better and make me feel more confidence .... but as what motorfreak says ... I will not be too complacent and dependant on ABS ... have to rely on my own feeling when braking too. But having ABS is definitely good for wet weather riding becos I just tried hard braking during the past few days of wet riding ... and it works like it should be. I dun have to apply intermediate braking anymore ... just apply pressure slowly on the brake to slow down and come to a stop on ABS braking... I feel it is far better than intermediate braking becos I personally experienced it ...

Cheers and good morning to all!

Wahhh ... you love skidding so much huh ? Are you those drifting fan? For me, I have experienced many skids and I am not a puss-c ... but in reality ... skidding is a risk and we should try to avoid skid if possible on public road ...

Just an article I have read about ABS :

http://www.intellichoice.com/carBuying101/AntiLockBrakes

ABS kicks in when it is wet riding ... for dry riding, ABS is not as good as normal braking ...

One thing I can confirm is that I feel that ABS is less sensitive than normal braking ... no matter how hard I stepped on brake ... the brake does not respond as well as the normal brake. How I wish there is a switch where I can turn ABS off when it is normal weather ... only activate it when it is wet weather ...

Definitely as a lady yourself, I think it is not worth the trip ... not becos of the distances or the time wasted ... but the risks in JB for ladies are unimaginable ...

You're on two wheels and if alone ... you'll definitely attract attentions ...

As a regular JB cheongsters myself ... I feel it is worth the trip becos ... I dun go there only to pump petrol ... but for some sight seeing and shopping which you cannot experience in Singapore ...

Singapore road all the same ... go here .. go there ... buildings .. and more buildings ... in Mlysia ... at least can travel further up a little to enjoy scenery ... however it is based on my own opinion ... maybe you dislike travelling or sightseeing ...

Finally found it:

http://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/bnm/20080526/tts-shahrir-oil-bm-993ba14.html

Was looking for the confirmation all night long.

Kiak kiak.

So now pump in SG more often, I guess.

I still can go in on weekend mornings as I can go further in then.

You want to go with me or not on Sat ? We can go together to pump and do some sight seeing ... since the journey will require us to travel further ... I am planning to test water on my regular kiosk which is 50km to pump ...

Any interested parties wanna join me?

I believe you love both "Wet" riding .... and road riding ... bah ...

I know skidding is fun ... it is thrilling becos we love the feeling of having the control of skidding and showing off that we can control the skid ... My records of skidding are near Clementi ... becos around there .. got many traffic lights and many vehicles ... I love to throttle and sped off from traffic lights ... and when it hit the next traffic junction ... have to stop ... usually emergency braking ... when the rest of the vehicle stops beside me ... all looking at me ... I am sure they are cursing and swearing at me for being so reckless ...

maybe I am borned to be a dirt bike rider than the normal street rider ...

Anyway ... I love both "Wet" riding ... and road riding too :D ... my favorite is "Bed" riding ... heehee ... if you get what I mean ...

Well its time to go to Msia on thurs to pump last time b4 the ban comes in. Was thinking what if Msians riding a singapore registered bike or car going back home to pump. Will they ban them too?? Or maybe Singaporeans riding or driving a msia registered car or bike, how?

actually, i was thinking...

if say u go touring, den but e time u reach e first petrol kiosk, den fuel low liao, den how???

cannot pump???

so muz pump in sillypore first den go in???

den after that go beyond 50km border den pump again???

n if like flareon said, msians on sg registered vehicles, den if not allow to pump within e 50km border, den suay loh...

push bike/car loh...

2nd point, unlikely sillyporeans on msia registered vehicle...

cos they NOT allowed to ride/drive into sg... (or in sg for that matter)

against sillypore laws...

so he's probably juz driving/riding in malaysia only loh...

I think Singapore confirm can get the Olympics holding rights at year 2010 lah. After all the ppl who go into malaysia and low in petrol and have to puch the bike/car for 50km before they can pump, all theire arms and legs all muscles already. What other sports also can get gold. Somemore is intensive training everytime u go into malaysia.
