does the exhaust pipe rust after some time?

those parts near the belly pan, just behind the front wheel

coming out from the engine one.

Rust? I guess after a long period of no maintenance and harsh treatment, being badly scratched up with stones and all. It would rust. But give it a good simple clean and polish once a while. It would look as good as new. Sumtimes if u ride it hard enuff, u would get those firespec kinda look to it. Hehheheehe.

Yes it is. Been measuring the speed these few days. Been like 90km/hr at RPM6 gear 6....

actually hor,

u need to clean e exhaust pipe regularly...

which many ppl dun...

i dunno abt rust...

but, it gets dirty...

dirty may be a cause of it...

plus u noe e 4pipes behind e front wheel???

when u warm up ur bike, n u stay there idle for too long, its not good for e pipes too...

may cause carbon build up n may corrode e pipes...

so if u always kanna stuck in traffic, at junctions, den its not "healthy" for e bike oso lah...

so e trick is to use e iron care, its like a wax, that ppl use to rub on e irons...

those u use to iron clothes one...

use that on ur pipes, can make it last longer...

 

thats y my bike still super mint till now!!!

i thought the pipe shld be stainless steel...

most S4 i saw on the road are so rusted.

Wax i dunno... but most polishing creaming are mild abrasive kind

The more you polish, the coating get wear off faster and hence rust easier.

now even if u want my bike, i dunno u have e chance not...

reserved by a really nice gentleman...

 

u can consider api's if u dun mind black...

his not bad...

 

anyway, polish is slightly different...

like when u use auto-sol or brasso, ur actually removing a thin outer most layer of e metal...

so if u do it everyday, it ll come a day when u ll eventually polish through it...

but when u use that iron care wax, its like rubbing e wax on top of it...

making it thicker... preventing corrosion from e outside...
