hi guys, hope everyone enjoyed chinese new year~

I love my ride but it seems my vespa tend to have some funny problems. I guess vespa needs alot more attention and owner should be more experienced with bikes o_O

 

Anyway I ride home today and realised I cant turn the engine off with my key. Also I can start my bike.. without my key! Anyway to fix it?? Lucky I can still lock my handlebar.. haha. Thanks in advance! Hope the battery wont die out or something.

We should do another meetup for DIY maintenance...

 

I think in a couple of years there might be a couple more shops that aim at performance tuning classic vespas... afterall, with the Changi F3000 circuit coming in 2011, there's going to have to be some scooter racing right?

a px150 born in 1984. I am not sure if its the key slot has problem. Now i off engine by changing to gear one.

Wont be able to go down bike shop today. work work..

i wouldnt buy from cos its higher then retail. second hand some more..

unless of course 300 got free bies tt comes along with the block. eg,porting, carb etc..

anyone had a squeaking rear brake problem before? goes squeak squeak squeak as the wheel turns when i brake gently...step on it harder and it goes away. brake shoes were changed a month ago.

new brake shoes need a while to bed-in.... do some research on how to bed-in drum brakes...

 

As for your pic... well its bent... but the hub doesn't seem to foul on it so nothing major... get it sorted next time you change your brake shoes...

thanks sharpey. few more questions, is it normal that there is a slight clattering sound when i am in neutral? (but when i clutch in it goes away).

i slapped on a pinasco 177 (+px exhaust) and increased the mainjet on the 20/20 carb from 92 to 110. is that too much?

Your uncle has a Super... ok, perhaps not the best first scoot... but keep that Super in the family! Your uncle will likely let you have it for a good price... so let him know that you want to buy it when he gives up riding!
