correct me if im wrong...its AQ2**** & be4 are allowed without signals...y u dont want signals...its 4 safety wot...

Posted

safety is to ride a PX disc whilst beauty is a classic w/o signals to keep (imho)

Am still thinking of getting a sprint for keepsake & I hate no# plates in front and signal lights (on a vintage Vespa only) hee hee hee.....

Posted

if u want classics, might as well get something from much later than AQ...but may be costly n hard to find...but if u have cash to spare layin ard...ive an aquaintance who wanna sell his vbb..pm me...

its true what he said. some a platers are just PX models that are modified to look like sprint, super, etc.

if u're still new to vespa, why not u buy a PX and modify it to ur liking. get a cheap PX preferably. there's a few shops that offer this kinda services. u might wanna check the wiki for more info...

past few yrs ive rode a few kinds of bike still own some...

i've own classics, mods scooters, cubs, auto bike n tw200...all have pros n cons to it n its all bout what u like dont be detered by what ppl say(gd or bad)

classic bikes-u get ppl talikin bout how u collect e rares n mint new old stocks.first u'll have friends sharing what they have, then after its bout competition btwn friends...antics comes with an expensive price tags.

mods scooters-dress codes was an issue...its how u portray urself with e mirrors n e lights on ur ride,if not,u'll be called a poser...

cubs- economical but once a while u'll get some lil "P-Plate" ******** trying to get e best out of u swerving inches infront of u n test machines thinkin they're better handlers than u...

autocsooters-when ur feelin lazy, twist n go.fast but petrol consumption is rather higher.

tw200-its like a thumbprint n its all bout how u customise ur own individual look but have to do ur own sorcing of parts till another tw rider recognise ur bike.

its all bout choice, what u like, what u need n what u can afford right?no offence to e scooterist but whats e point of customising a px into a sprint look alike when its not.a lammy will still be a lammy, sprint will be sprint, super has its own 8" n px has its dics brakes so keep it real n original,it'll has more resale value...i'm sure some might agree n some might dislike what im sayin...im just statin whats been goin on 4 me n my experiences was like.

but if right now,ive spare cash layin on my bedroom floor i'd get another tw200...strip,customise,diy like nobody else's business n just ride.it really stimulate my mind on how i can change its look n i've seen tws dat doesnt look like a semi off road...

vbc> Dun worry, I fully agree with you. Thats why I sold my PX150 within 2 weeks of restoration, simply because it is a wannabe and I cannot live with it. I was happier with my PX Disc.

My personal conclusion- Buy an auto scoot for daily commute and an original sprint for "occasional" rides.

Some interesting thoughts...

For me, my steed is my steed, daily commuter, racer & showgirl.... Well its all in the eyes of the beholder :) I'm not sure she's much of a showgirl at the moment with her rusty seams!@!

haha...yups,i must agree,ur ride should be ur pride n joy...irregardless of what ppl say,but somehow it'll get 2 u with e comments from others...but usually if any1 were come to me with crude remarks i'd tell em off...its like what r they trying to prove n to whom???...

hey sharpey,u still have ur scorpion on?saw u few months back on lornie rd...couldnt catch up with u,squeezin thru traffic n trang tang tang...u were gone, cheers mate...

sharpey-we've met some time ago...i was with my red n black super...now not riding it much as ive a torn ligament in right my knee...riding a scooter everyday makes my knee stress when it comes to e-brakes.so now i ride an auto scooter...

:: scooterists... need your words of wisdom; the idling of my vespa tend to increase (almost double the normal idling mode) when a passenger gets on it, regardless of size or weight... this has never happened before... she started to have this problem only in the past few days... and still the same ever since... the idling stays at a fast speed even when i am at the red light... funny thing was, it goes back to normal when the passenger gets off. so what do you reckon creates this problem? thanxxxxxxxxx~ ::

let me sit on u n see how well u can breathe,u'll be makin lots of noises...hahaha(joke).i had e same problem...it might be ur throttle cable...as extra weight is put on e cable shifted n maybe this strain ur throttle...other than tt im not sure la...have e carbs checked...

Posted

It could also be the g-string your lady passenger is wearing.....

I would pant double hard if a lady wearing g-string were to sit on me....no telling what it'll do to my throttle.

Beers anyone ???

heeeeeee
