"YES", Singapore bikes can eneter Vietnam, same as Malaysian bikes or any other foreign bikes for that matter. The key is to get the entry permits sorted before you go and dont try to do yourselves.Use proffesionals, it will cost you but do-able nevertheless. If you just turn up at the border and try to get in you will be rejected and end up with a communist boot up your tender backsides. We have only just returned from a succesful trip and were one of the few groups to be allowed entry in Vietnam on big bikes for many years.FYI, we went with 9 bikes in total.8 Malaysian bikes and yes even 1 Singapore registered bike. The blue Hayabusa in the picture attached is from Singapore. Im attaching the name cards of the people who made it happen , if you do want to explore further I suggest you make initial contact with the Thia person first.

Thanks. You've just opened up the gate to another land to venture. :thumb:

Will do this in the near future.

Al, a word of advice, if any of you do plan a trip to Vietnam please ensure that only seasoned experienced riders go on good reliable bikes. Riding in Vietnam is different to riding in any other places you may have previously been to.There are people "everywhere" ,there are lorries everywhere, there are animals everywhere. Even on the highways outside of the major cities the congestion never thins out.You need your wits about you and 10 pairs of eyes in your head. If you lose focus, its bye bye.If any of you have ever ridden in and around Phnom Penh in Cambodia youll have some idea of what im talking about.

Having said this, it was possibly the highlight of my riding experiences so far and I would do it again in a flash given the chance...

To ride in Vietnam's roads (especially in the cities), you gotta ride like a pedestrian on wheels. Initially from the outside, it looks like chaos but you just gotta go with the flow once you get inside the "flow" of bikes.

Anyway interesting long ride... :cheeky:

We only saw his bike parked outside the guesthouse. Didn't really manage to see him. How long has he been on the road?

since 2004 with no intention of stopping anytime soon.
