Rectifier and Coil Prices for S4

Hey, i am facing a problem, that my rectifier burned out on me, changed it however my coil is not charging my batt properly, when engine is running voltage is only 12.2 but suppose to be 13-13.5V, Bike shop ask me to change coil soon, and today my bike died out on me... so need some advice and also price confimations

 

How much is e price of Coil for super4.. plus e servicin charge.. And tips or comments plese write down..

so far i'v never changed my coil be it my verS 4yrs ridin n now verR bout

2yrs riding.u can call Chong Aik direct and ask for a new brand of coil whats e price ?

N with replacing the coil , can e mech be conform that e problem will be rectified?

i hope tat e prob can be rectified.. but learning electronics it should.. coz now my bike is undercharging... as my coil is no longer efficent.. the charger coil sellin at $350 at HKL.. i kinda think tats too expensive as i jst changed my rectifier tat is at 100 at HKL..

 

Kinda regret coz Southen is less ex..

last time my s4 oso not charging...suspect my rectifier but tried on new one b4 changing but same prob....in the end my shop source was my wiring coz i had some accesories, so he re-did the wiring...so prob solve n save my pocket

 

Qs is how does he know its ur coil?

ya.. u may want to check the wire from the rectifier. it may have burn out too.

Bro, the coil very had to burn...even if its burnt inside...it shd still be charging.. cos it happened to me. I kept riding my bike when the 'temp' light was on, it burnt the coil but i was still able to start the bike as per normal.

 

I think its strongly the wiring burnt, just dont noe which wire....cud be the one to the coil or somewhere else. Coil costs ard 280....

HKL killing me la.. when over to southen and got Original Rectifier at $90..

 

Oh ya they say its the coil as the bike is not charging up the battery.. tell me more brothers.. when engine on rite, the bike is only givin up reading of 12V or less.. den when i was riding.. the meter, headlite and all electronics on and off flikering.. but after some time.. e batt got weaker.. the lites dim and get dimmer.. den it when lites off totally.. engine also switched off..

sorry bro.. i dont dare to use ahboy stuff tat is not accesories.. coz e spark plug i bought from him broke when removing.. den bought oil filters from him.. remove eat my treading..

 

I am sorry to be negetive and all but i want a work shop tat can solve my problem. instead of getting wrong things fixed..

hope tis will help u. 2nd hand coil cost $70. Onli for version s. Find at scrayard. 27 jln buroh. I saw 1 available few mths ago. Try yr luck

bro, there is a way for mechs to check if its your coil by measuring voltage at the 3 pin wire connected to your rectifier... coil will cost 200-300... but 1 qs will be did u install any electrical stuffs to your bike??? it can be wiring too which is eating up your currents... did u install any stuffs b4 u saw a change in the voltage?? if u din, then its bound to be the coil... but check the wirings juz in case b4 u change the coil cause its not a 30 min job like changing tyres... HKL is a expensive shop juz my opinion...
