yup this is e 07 version. hmm not sure abt e signal lights but they certainly hv made a few changes to e bike but still dun hv slipper clutch!

dun think most will need slipper clutch unless the owner is tracky...

even yamaha also waited till their 07 edition of R1 then have slipper... all pre-07 versions are just normal clutch...

and i think after new year my bike price will drop again

so faster sell it lor

the bike i buy is 1.5 year old... $16.5k 05R1

take in my bike at 6.5k

wat u think is the price ok ???

my bike 4.5 year old spec II

16.5K for 1.5yrs old... cant really tell if is a good deal or not... cos sports bike quite difficult to assess based on just age...

have to take into consideration of other things like if previous owner got take care? was it a track bike? what other accessories (like full system, PC, etc)

the best deal i ever saw was a 06R1, 3 months old, fully stock, (tyres still brand new so not worry of going to track) and mileage 3,000km. selling at $17.5k

but i must say your take-in value for your spec II is really good... :thumb:

anyway, all has been confirmed, so just sit back and be ready to enjoy your ride...

so good... still 10K+...

VFR used to be my first choice... (follow by post 04R1) but only drawback is the central braking...

then comes 06FZ1... which is more 'fierce' than the previous versions, but the comfort is still there...

in fact, riding style wise, still very similar to S4... unlike VFR which is closer to the sports riding (backache)...

still, this 2 bikes are excellent bikes that I will truely love to own one day... :thumb:

forget about those who says linked brake system no good. chances are, they have never rode in one before (or rode in its earlier incarnations). honda have probably perfected the system now (don't quote me, this was stated in many other reviews).

btw, its riding posture is worlds apart from the sports bike. i used to think riding upright was a lot more comfortable but having read other people's opinions and experiencing it for myself, i would say a slightly forward bending position (sports tourer) is a lot more comfortable when touring. windblast when travelling over 100km/h will auto upright your position and take away the stress on your arms (as opposed to an upright position, where windblast is forcing rider to hold on to the handlebar - unless the bike has a high screen like fjr, stx, goldwing).

rode a ST11 wif CBS/ABS for a yr before, the linked brake system provides at least 10-20% more braking power than non-CBS/ABS ST11..

if i'm not wrong

ABS mean anti brakelock system

mean it only help to release the brake when u brake too hard....

which may cause ur wheel to wheellock

so when the wheel near to wheel lock it will release ur brake abit....

which may mean long brake distance..... for exp rider

and for inexp rider mean saver to do hard braking...

since it will not wheel lock..

in a nutshell, you are right.

to understand a little bit more on the research done on braking system, refer to this:
