Hey bro tt6389,

Thanks for the advice... Actually I've just installed the Scorpio Alarm yesterday @ Motoworld... :cheeky: I went to install the 1-way alarm after much thinking decisions... I told the guy there that if by any chance after I tried out this 1-way for a few days & after which I feel like upgrading to the 2-way system, I just had to pay the difference...

Though after what you told me that you stay at 5th floor and the receptivity is already so poor?... :giddy: I stay on the 11th storey and my bike's at basement carpark leh... I thought the guy did mention to me that the range is good for 1Km for the 2-way?...

Can anyone with Scorpio alarm can verify it's range? 'Cause if the range is not what it's suppose to be, I just keep my 1-way system will do then.....

The Labis Hot Spring at Segamat sounds like a really interesting place to go! :cheer: I do believe that this will be an excellent opportunity for Bol'Dors to get together and have fun for a 1-day event! I am totally for it! What you guys think?

Gaofar p(^.^)q

Hi Bro Gaofar,

I am 100% sure that if your bike is at basement - the 2 way alarm at 11 storey cannot recieve signal. Why ? Because my house is only

But if your bike is directly below at void deck or open air carpark, I think 90% chance it will work, provided if you have a window facing the open air carpark.

I think 1 km range is over exaggerated.

...............................

btw, since you seems to have so many add-ons, do you happen to have the portable CO2 inflator for motorbike tires? I thought of getting one for emergency tire repair. http://www.genuineinnovations.com/index.html

I invite you guys to view the vids that i had made during my outings with them. (When KKK decided to use the terms "u modsters" on one particular forumer..he is implying to all since then). Please click the links on my siggy and you will find the wonders & beauty of it. Cheers and have a good day

Gee... I was just being direct and brutally honest, thats all. I'm sure some would share my exact sentiments, but nobody dare to say out openly lah. Nothing personal people, its not as if i'm cursing u all! no need to get all uptight and start calling me names pls.

Btw, I've seen the links. Nice videos you shot there, you guys must have enjoyed yourselves out there. But sorry no, I can't see the wonder and beauty in it unless you're referring to the bonding you guys had. Some bikes had so many different color LED lights installed I could have mistaken it was part of a chingay procession! :giddy:

Hey bro tt6389 and all,

After I have thought through over whether to upgrade to Scorpio's 2-way alarm, I think I'll just keep my 1-way alarm...

I have thought through a couple of scenarios and it sort of struck me that if I were to park my bike at a basement carpark of a shopping center, say Suntec or even Holiday Plaza @ JB, how much is really my chance of being able to know whether anything is happening to my bike while I'm in the shopping center walking around, maybe to a range of 600m from my bike but through a whole lot of walls?.....

Maybe I'll just buy the perimeter sensor to boost the "defence-capability" of the bike..... :cheeky:

Emergency tire-blow kit? Wah... Now you really set my mind thinking again..... Sigh, being me who likes to be equipped for all situations that may arise, think I might just buy the gadget that you recommend... Seems nice though...

So bro tt6389, would you be so nice as to organise a trip to the spring in Malaysia? You can set the date and time and whoever can make it will just submit the names first loh? How about that? Fellow Bol'Dorians, what do you guys think? :cheer:

This was something that I have been wondering about for some time now. Scorpio Alarms on their website believe that it is possible for you to go through walls and stuff in shopping centers, but mentions nothing about apartment blocks like ours. What I think is, interference from many appliances that might use infrared, wireless, and other related links of communication may be the factor in defeating the Scorpio's ability in sensing its own alarm with its remote. Shopping centers have less of that than apartment blocks.

But then again all of this is theoretical. Do what you think best.

Hey shinhwa, don't you think its abit too much to show my ugly face for everyone to see rite? Could you do me a favour and delete that post? I mean talk is talk lah, tell me should I go and dig up info and post your pic in retaliation as well? For me I won't do that, and I don't think that's the right kinda behaviour for you rite?

Sorry fellow bold'orians for stirring up the hornet's nest, didn't know this kinda sh*t could happen where people even fcuking post your face up for the whole world to see just becos you write some comment which don't go down well with them...

Just hope this whole fiasco will end and restore some normalcy in this thread... pls...

I heard about an automatic tyre repair sealant that is pumped into the tyre to seal punctures automatically and will last the lifetime of the tyre. Not sure whether it is good though. Might want to consider that.

hi guys (modstors),

please do not get my wrong, i am not here to taking any sides as well as not trying to add more oil to the fire...

like i said before, me uncle, too old to be involved in arguements... kekeke...

just like to state some personal feelings on the matter...

allow me to represent the people who enjoy this thread for this while; we are a banch of people that just like have a bit of casual chatting exchange ideas and experience on S4 - much like yourselves, nothing political and certainly not keen to make remarks on others...

i like my coffee with milk, if you prefer yours to be without, that really fine with me... i have no intention to make you drink your coffee with milk or insult how bitter coffee would taste without milk...

feel free to refer to all the previous pages of posting and decide for yourself if what i claimed is true...

it is of course your free speech and will to post anywhere in the forum as you please, however may i urge that if you have something personal to khookahkiat and not directed at the rest of the people in this thread, kindly post them somewhere else instead of this thread as i would consider them off-topic.

take a minute, cool off and ask yourself, would you be happy if say someone goes into your thread and making off-topics remarks? worst if mod decided that those are wasting their server space and close/delete the thread...

kindly spare a thought for the rest of us, and we will certainly appreciate it if you would stop posting personal remarks in this thread...

thank you for your cooporation...

i seems 2 of such emergency tyre repair products

1. tyre repair kit with small gas canister to inflate the tyre after repair.

2. can (containing foam) type repair kit.

i reckon the both items are good where you are unable to find nearby petrol kiosk to pump up the tyres after you fixed it...

for the small gas canister, concern is the storage and usage of the canister... highly compressed air, in my opinion is like a time bomb... in the event that the storage space gets too hot or if the canister is dented, it might trigger and mini explosion... scary though for me...

also, since there is no valve on the canister, you never know if you would over inflate your tyres becomes dangerous :giddy:

for the can (foam tyre) tyre repair, it is suppose to expand after injected into the tyre to fill up and inflate the tyre. only knows that it is used on car tyres... not sure if they worked on bike tyres. concern is will it fill completely in the tyres? as you know, bikes are only on 2 tyres... and we usually have to 'balance' the tyres to have a more stable ride...

imagine if the foam only fill up the puntured area.. if might cos the whole wheel to be unbalanced... still kind of risky when you travel with a 'shaky' wheel... (also :giddy: )

for me, i use the most conventional method... carrying a small footpump (small enough to fit into my tank bag) + tyre repair kit.. kekeke... plus the footpump comes with a small pressure guage so that you dun over or under inflate... :thumb:

anyone have other recommendations or tired out other emergency repair kits before please share...

Hi bro Gaofar,

I think perimeter sensor can create alot of false /nuisance alarm if parked at public carpark.Coz too many bike movements nearby. I think perimeter sensor is good for isolated / remote open area only.

.............................................................

Here are some pics & MP4 video of my recent Batu Pahat hotspring trip. Hope this can excites some viewers to go for the upcoming Segamat Hot Spring trip. I think we can also go for the lesser known Pulai Waterfall 56 km from jb at same time. With our bike mounted GPS, we can cover 2 destination easily and smoothly and be back by 7pm on same day (probably saturday).

Beside the fun and thrill of exploration, long distance riding can also decarbonised the engine.
