and where did you go har ..... ??

sigh... when I clutch in... I would hear some grinding sound coming from below me... I thought after I have changed clutch plates something was amiss... still grinding sounds are too scary for me to carry on... so I went to my workshop and see what was wrong... the front sprocket was worn... but it was about time too... since I have ran 25k km on it...

and so I changed the chain and sprockets... after that I head off to 2nd link in an attempt to find you all... reaching gp esso at 6.29pm... so I rode to gp town, tian lai, back to south bound gp r&r to see if any of you would be there...

but I didn't see anyone... since I was there I might as well finish up on exploring the service roads... ha I have completed charting the route... I have tried both the difficult "through the drain" way and the underpass below nshw... the distance between the two r&r are roughly 4km using the underpass service road... ha don't have to u-turn at 312c already...

still... so upset to miss the trip... at least its better to have these nonsense to pop out now then next week...

You did the servicing at Planet?

Well, if you need to worry about the bike's functionality and reliability during a trip, then its spoils the trip for you already.

Happened to me during my last 1-2 trips. Dont know when the bike going to give if I take it past the usual threshold.

That's the main reason why I got the new bike. No point keep worrying when this spoil, that spoil. Real downer when start the bike and got funny funny sounds.

Just bite the bullet, spend some hard earned $$$ and enjoy the new bike and have rides w/o much worries.

You plan to use your current bike until?

underpass is my usual route, but i'll leave my paniers in my office carpark before i head over.

used to always use the drain route in my previous enduro bikes, tried once on the FJR... can be done, but ended up with lots of mud under bike. not really worth it.

wow how did you put your fjr out of the drain... and your bike is about 300kg... I would say only cubs and scramblers (motards / dual sport / etc) would take that route...

yes the tdm definitely can use the underpass route... the most difficult part is the 2 barrier at the r&r itself... which shouldn't be a problem at all
