So, when's the IBA ride ?

 

"There are five steps to earning a SaddleSore or Bun Burner 1500 certification; 1. Choose a safe route, 2. get a start witness, 3. collect and track receipts, 4. get an end witness and 5. copy and submit your documentation. Since safety is our primary concern, no pre-registration of your ride is needed. Our goal is to give you added flexibility to decide on any given day whether the combination of weather, your motorcycle and most importantly, your attitude, are ready for a big ride."

iron butt ... 1000 mile = 1609.344 km

 

GP to bukit kayu hitam is 816km

so to and back is 1632 km

 

dun even need to enter thailand

KUALA TERENGGANU: Serious cave-ins that appeared at several stretches along a newly-completed road that links Kuala Terengganu to Gua Musang have raised questions about the quality of its construction.

 

the collapsed stretches are part of the road which will ultimately link Kuala Terengganu with Ipoh. Currently, the road has been completed up to Gua Musang while the link to Simpang Pulai in Perak has yet to be completed,

 

Zawawi said he was very concerned over the stretch from Kuala Berang to Gua Musang, near Kampung Kuala Jenderis, where there was a serious cave-in on Nov 24 after the second wave of flooding hit the state.

 

He said several other cave-ins have been reported periodically since last week.

 

“Everyone knows that the area is flood-prone. Why were no measures taken to ensure that the road could withstand adverse weather?” he asked.
