are you sure? i also ride a 7year old kr.

I dun even hit reserve after 230km.

and each top up is about 6-7 litre

First thing check ur idling rpm (mine is at 1.5k)

Other than that try to feel at which rpm ur valve opens (6.5-7) for me.

Other than these, i can only think that its new bike = more friction.

When at mechanic, if cant find anything wrong, request for smaller jet.

As for which mech, my fren always preches "being a carrot at ubi is better than being a carrot else where".

I think so too. Ubi skill not bad. i always go to motoworld. this is for the east of cause.

Good luck to u!

wah. never knew krr's fuel consumption is so good.

maybe can recommend to my cousin who is taking 2B now.

230km over 6-7litres is like 32-38km/l.

haha. im surprised by the consumption when i first bought it. But i never asked other krr riders so i duno if its only my bike

But im sure glad my FC is good! :)

i went to jb to do full service and power tuning , the FC got worse .

mine is horrible , i pump fuel like how i eat my meals . i have heard of krs hitting 28-30km/L quite often , that's why i bought a kr instead of a sp .

nightmar3 , where u go servicing one ? at ubi ?

Posted

yes i go to motoworld @ ubi.

However since i haven done tuning since i bought my bike, its the previous owner mechanic.

I asked him and he goes to this shop "YP" behind tampines safra

if u buy 2nd bike.. there's chance to get a bike like this.. some ppl like to take 2b bike n mod it heavily. go to a shop n let them have ur bike check. i'm sure urs is not in stock condition.

you cant have best of both worlds..

Good FC = bike minimal power..

Good power = not so good FC..

aiyah u guys arrr...just tune the carb...suspect the air/fuel too rich...idle speed set to 1000-1160 can already. In JB everything very the power...you don't even know what they are doing to your bike...say power already.

Changing to bigger bores will increase FC.
