No outing for 2013?

Where do you want to go? :)

I've tried organising before but no response...

I will try rotating the stock bar. Failing which, I will look for a wider bar that doesn't neccessitate cable/hose changes.

Yes, on long rides up north, I find my position too cramped up due to the narrowness of the bar, plus the slightly forward position on the S4. I have a huge rear rack (width is wider than stock bars), so filtering ability of new wide bars is not a concern.

Half of your hand resting on the bar ends is quite bad. Especially if this also happens to your right hand. Do you feel any cramps/ache in the arm or shoulders after a long ride?

I'm using the stock handle bars and my riding position is such that my left hand grips further outwards so that about 1in of my left palm is resting on the bar-end (R&G, like Motovation type). My right hand grip is ok. Maybe it's because its gripping the throttle. Nevertheless, I'm comfortable with the stock grip positions. Even with the left hand gripping slightly outwards, I don't experience any cramps or numbness in the hand and shoulders.

If you fit the wider bars available locally like Renthal, you should be able to use the same hoses and cables. If you do fit wider bars, do remember that your ability to filter traffic will be reduced.

Have you tried rotating the stock bar towards you? You might want to try doing that first.

Anyone knows where i can get a rectifier and coil for spec 3 and roughly how much?

Recently got problems with my spec 3 [earlier post on ticking sound}, went to 2 workshops, mech bullshit here and there, change my rectifier to the small one which was used in VER S, told by another mech my rectifier for spec 3 is the bigger type.

Anyways recently overhaul the whole engine, new block and pistons [ticking sound was from pistons rubbing against block] top service done.

@ramsnake, thanks for the advise on getting to a reputable mech. So now left with issues of charging... recharged my battery and found that voltage around 13.8V even after revving and on high speed around 12.5V [ voltage while idling is measured using a proper voltmeter not the display one we usually use on our bikes]..

I guess, I need to change my rectifier to optimise my charging, the mech I went to quoted me $165 original Spec 3 Rectifier[big Type]

Anyone with any advise?

Thanks

i am selling a new set of rectifier and coil for Revo tho, dont know if it is the same for spec3? can go down to shop and check it out if you ok.

Anyone know where the price range for meter for Revo ? My meter seems to have some problem :(

Less than $900. Confirmed, FJT is the cheapest. I just enquired for someone last month who needed to replace because of accident. I've checked with all the shops including Boon Siew.

Check with you guys, can Revo headlight fit on Spec 3?

Thanks

Its not how fast you can reach your destination and its not how you modify your machine but at the end of the day, its HOW you ride the machine!!!!.

Hi bros,

Im currently facing two problems which i feel might be abnormal.

1) sometimes wen i start my bike, there's a tik tik tik sound near the spark plug area.

2) my bike vibrates to a point that i feel im riding on strips all the time.

Any idea why these things are happening?

Thanks in advance for ur advices, bros!
