calling all 2a takers @ bbdc! :D

as 2a only has 3 modules to clear so most of us will graduate pretty much faster than our fellow 2b mates, i figured we probably wont have so much fate to bump into others often n make frens at bbdc...so why not lets come in n share our experiences here! why did u decide to take 2a, and at bbdc? how do you find it?

 

for a start, i also dont know why i am taking 2a since i doubt i will ride a 2a bike on the road haha...i tink its cuz kitty asked me to join her so jus join lor! nan de got fellow gals wan take...back to bbdc again cuz its nearest to sch!

 

personally so far, i would say every session is nothing less than stressful to me...the bike is bulkier, heavier and of course more powerful so it seems harder for me to control esp in curvy courses like pylon cuz i dun dare to swing lol i admit i'm a scaredy cat! ahahaha...

 

then dunno isit me or wat but i find that the 2a instructors tend to have more serious faces n dun seem to crack jokes as often...maybe higher expectations cuz u ride >1yr liao so everything just to the point...stressful ah...

 

haha then after every lesson when i ride my kup back, it feels so light and easy to turn to the point my bike seems like a toy! lol! otherwise...i tink super 4 is a v nice bike to ride!

 

btw i diao-ed my 2.01, who else taking 2.01 also! book tog wan?

if never get the 3 classes where got enough passion... haha!

 

kitty seems like some legendary rider... we mention her, but she nv appears

 

still remember first lesson when the instructor ask the 3 students (1 class2, 2 class 2a), what bike you all riding? class 2a de one on kup, one no ride. class2 de on vespa. i think that guy feel his bike more like toy... bLeAhz~

as for the 2a guy...*COUGH EVEN LOUDER* ya lor...dun need to tell me i also noe...neh...read the siggy can liao...i might just end up taking bus lor...on monday i wanted go national library but dunno where to park so i rode to jurong pt and took mrt instead... then on wed my bike couldnt start cuz not enough petrol so i ended up walking n taking sch shuttle bus that day! walau damn tiring to walk up and down the stupid hills...got bike really shiok...cheap, fast, convenient, find parking also easy!

cl2 and 2a,both got 3 pracs.....2 pracs for the course and last for assement....lol,i also scared of the cl2 bike 2 heavy... 1nce e brake and bumpy course drop down together with the bike,,,,heheheheh i got up,but struggled to carry the bike back up,until the instructor and i lift it together.... -_-

lol if it was 17/12 session 5 and it was one girl one guy, yea thats you haha! u noe ah, i see pple fall at pylon, ebrake, bumpy, s course till i never fall i also scared...i will do watever it takes to not fall...tsk tsk...just like how i have never fallen while ice skating...die die also bang into the railing hahaha!

 

eh not bad ah donghai, we found our 1.01 kaki liao...where are our 2.01 classmates!

I think rarely cl2a or cl2 people see fall down at the s corse or crank....usually either the bumpy or e brake...but still ok la...they teach all the stuff to correct to make sure we do correct....so its kind of gd thou...rather den fall at the tp test... -_- hahahaha

I took the same amount of time for both 2b and 2a; about 2 mth plus. Cos for 2a i had to wait 1mth plus for the test tough i completed all the lessons in 2 weeks.

 

But i think bbdc instructors are definitely better than ssdc. I took 2b at ssdc up to the 3rd stage, then started allover at bbdc. ssdc instructors (those who taught me, maybe not all) are fcuked up and dont explain things properly.

same here...but for my cl3 at ssdc was a very gd experince...i managed to get 3 same instructors for the duration of my cl3 pracs,all were very very gd...but for bikes,i find the bbdc instructors are very On 1..hehehe all no matter last seccesion also they joke and teach us....

its kinda of confusing actually... and with so few lessons of class2a, i dont think i will be able to memorise the route just yet...

my experience at cdc for class3 was pleasant one thing is i dunno why cdc uniform looks so professional (they wear off-white long sleeve office shirts n pants) while bbdc n ssdc...u noe...... easier to change the instructors around to teach car or bike i guess...forgot what the cdc bike instructors wear...i still remember when i first started class3 and saw my pri sch friend taking 2b, i commented to my driving instructor "so hot why pple wanna learn bike sia..." then here i am now, taking 2a... lol...

 

niwae 3.01 i not sure leh, but i tink they will bring you around again la cuz the booklet says 2.01 is familiarization ma, 3.01 then memorization...then again, theres this v good video simulation done by one of our fellow forummers!

Anyway, if you intend to continue, its best to book the test date now. Otherwise, you have to wait very long after completing all the lessons.

Personally, i find it rediculous that during the test, going on the wrong route will result in immediate failure. In real life, if we go wrong route, just find another way lah. Nothing so serious right?

 

Maybe giving points would be more reasonable; since if all the testees go wrong route, it will waste a lot of time for the testers and BBDC (who wanna squeeze more money out of everyone).

hahahah yes...better to bk test date....like i tink now test dates at march liao...2mths of waiting 1....how come suddenly jump very fast?but i guess usually some who dun complete the test dates get cancelled automatically......

 

 

for thos who like dun really have much time i think can try out the seccesion 8 at 9.55pm-11.05pm,kind of short but still ok i guess...or can try the satdae and sunday seccessions....

cb400 is probably the most common 2a road bike in sg. The other road bike i can think of is the yamaha xjr400. But it looks too 'ah pek' to me. cb400 is a more handsome bike.

 

Sports bikes: gsxr400, cbr400r/rr(dunno wat the 'r' means though)

 

scooters: a few 2a scoots, i think.

 

scrambler: i dunno cos im not interested in this category

 

Actually there are quite a few to choose from, if you are flexible in your options.

 

 

But for me cb400 is the best. I love Honda.
