won't recommend u to buy... as likely u would spend more to repair the bike than getting a more reliable sp or kipz, which is newer and cheaper to get the parts unlike nsr125 which is an Italian bike.

NSR125 is an Italian Bike? I thought the NSR series is a Honda bike.

200 Miles Per Hour, No Hands... Damn That Would Be Cool Right Before The Part Where You Die...

Bike History

2005 - Cagiva Mito 125

2007 - Daelim Daystar 125

2008/2009 - Piaggio X9 500

2017 - Triumph Speed Triple 1050

yup NSR125 aka Hornet is a Honda production but i believe its parts are flown in from italy one.. its expensive to repair this one..

i wouldnt recommend getting it as well

parts hard to find already

even if can find...wont be cheap

u definitely need to standby a substantial budget to touchup this bike to at least reasonable condition i.e mend the fairing, etc

end of it...the price u spend would probably come close to getting a newer bike like SP or KRR

nowadays i can see SP going for low prices like $1800

i rode NSR125 before. handling like cagiva n aprillia as it is a big bike, BUT dun expect budget on this bike, parts damn ex and hard to find, many shop repair till pek cek, if the seller wan sell u, make sure the engine juz overhauled and the electronic parts are new, if not dun think of it. buy SP or KR or TZM, parts easier to find and u won have headache of goin motordiam everydae..

I rode that bike in 2001 before too. I totally agree to the rest who replied before me..... Its indeed an Italian production bike.... although its Honda (dun ask me why).

On top of what the others had said..... the power of this bike will make the rider viomet blood.... even on slopes on the Expressways !! Trust me....

Like what the other riders here had commented.... better to get a "newer" bike than this one.....

Hope this helps.... :goodluck:

You guys rode thrashed up NSRs by reckless petrolheads. The bike itself has a decent powerband.I am owning one and everything is fine.

Believe me,I have clocked 190km/h on my ride @ 8000RPM/6th gear.I have read many forums and am very surprised.

This post started in 2005, been quite some time.

Maybe still relevant back in 2005, but by now the FM series all over 10 years old already. I guess most would opt for the much more common NSR150SP/ KRRs now.

Makes more economic sense. Even the early SPs are going into their 10 yr birthdays already.

Good that you like you NSR. Any tots of upgrading? My fren sold off his NSR125 for less than 1K 4 yrs back. Maybe kena chopped, I never know. But at that time, it is still in a rideable condition.

there two version for this nsr125. one version is the electri start model , where the other on is a kick start (sp)version. Different between the 2 . kick start one have only single piston ring and the cdi is non restricted, but wear and tear will be high. Parts for this bike is ex. it's a learner bike in the euro country so power will not match up with sp or krr. There's a 180cc kit from polini for this bike will make the run faster.
