If you're buying from private owner with fully paid cash, then there's no need for any guarantor.

Insurance if you're getting from NTUC, you just have to call them, tell them the number plate of the bike you wanna buy, ask them to prepare a policy for you, either by full cash or installment.

They will tell you when the policy is ready, you'll just have to go down to one of their branches to pay and get the policy.

Transfer of ownership, you'll have to go with the seller to Sin ming LTA, produce both your IC, driving license or paper, as well as your insurance. Means you'll have to get the insurance ready before getting the ownership of the bike.

For buying of bike through shop, I'm not too sure but everything will then be done in the shop. Less hassle but of course paying more for their services which IMO is not worthed it. Get chopped also don't know. Then there will also be a need for guarantor if you're getting a loan/by installment.

Haha yea, prepare around 800 bucks for all the admin stuff. More if you're buying from shop. 200 bucks for the repairs in case there are problems with the bike.

And maybe 2k for the machine price of the bike?

i tot ur insurance was only $580?

thats cheap for you wow.

where got cheap. considered quite ex. imagine edwin paid $580 for his insurance when he is 1 year younger than me and he bought it only 2 mths later than me.

Yea yea, I gave an estimate of 800 just to be on a safe side ma. Better to estimate more than to find out not enough money when buying bike.

Actually, if you say you want it today, just give them 2 or 3 hours and they will be able to complete it. If not, I think better call them 1 or 2 days in advance.

No need log-card. I didn't even see a log card before. :cheeky:

:cheeky:

log card is for the bike, not from you.If you pay full cash for an old bike, request for it.If change color of bike, update log card offline/online.Or else you'll get into trouble. If you pay installment for old bike, ask them if there is log card.Usually they give it to you after your payment is complete.
