Now im stressed!!! TP on the 18th still have yet to pass pathetic 7.01...

the instructors got me quite confused....on the first try , i asked "Can adjust the positioning of Bike while waiting"" instructor say...CAN....then on the second try the other one say CANNOT...so HOW?

one say A the other say B??......going on this TUESDAY....i think someone is gonna reply me with a C...damn frustrated..HAi yoh...im still lousy with my plank....Errr. i actualy took 7 BLARDEE tries to pass 3.01...hahahaa...but its well worth it...

Yeah, it was the second time, first time was on 5th May, and only 29 out of 90 passed. Cos a lot of ppl didn't know about the new test route until the actual day.

Kena braked by Harry b4, cos I couldn't hear his instruction. He spoke too softly and I was on the move. He is ok lah, very strict, which is good in a way, cos he make sure u polish the skill b4 going for TP, else going to TP and fail, more sian.

I am so glad I have passed, else I would have outbreak due to stress cos of the changing of standard again and again. Turning into 1st lane is ridiculous loh, do the instructors change the positioning of the bike while awaiting u-turn? My guess is, now u gotta position your bike more to the left? So that it's easierto turn out to first lane. Correct me if I am wrong.

I was so grouchy when I went for my RRs b4 my TP, cos it was so difficult to do the u-turn with so many cars! RR used to be very enjoyable cos after 2 u-turns, the intructors would normally bring us to go other places to do u-turn. But now like what u said, the 8pm IS a waste of money, managed to do only 2 u-turns for two of the RRs I went for. Try to go for the first slot for RR on a Saturday or Sunday, less traffic, so u get to do u-turn pretty quickly.

anway those who want the map of the test route, here it is

http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/89/testkl0.jpg

it is shorter compared to the previous test route.

:::i went for my 7.01 TWICE- failed..... they have changed the standard test requirements right... instead of U turning to the second lane....u have to do it in to the first...most to most you could do is to touch the broken white lines...

ANy one thinks this is simply ridiculous?? cause i do.... the bike tends to wobble.. in order to do it perfectly....ur bike positioning is really important..

Gonna go again this tuesday...

One more thing.....going for the 8.00pm slot is really a waste of money... comparing it to the 9.55pm slot which is a diff of plus minus $10.....cause u roughly can do the same amount of tries. due to the traffic condition...

i dun think both of u realize why they want u to u-turn into the 1st lane instead of the 2nd lane. look carefully at the new test route. it requires u to turn right shortly aft u finish doing ur u-turn. if u were to turn into the 2nd lane, do u think u have enough time to do a lane change since the traffic for that stretch of rd is well-known for it's speed and the number of vehicles. so i dun think that their requirements are ridiculous. well, no offence.

ask the instructors if u can position ur bike more to the left. it will then be easier for u to do a u-turn into the 1st lane. when i was taking my license, the instructors once told me that there is no time limit for u-turn, when u feel safe just go. but the tester might penalize u for delay in moving off.

That i know..

Like what i've said...bike positioning is really important...either u make it or break it.Well, complaints aside ...since thats the test requirements... no choice except to abide by it. and with enough practice.. i might be able to perfect the whole U-TURNING issue...

Heh..I didnt realise the new test route is shorter... and yes they do ask us to position the bikes much more to the left and curve in alot more... But then ..sometimes they park their own bikes there... so it takes up the space...when keep more to the left and turn . they complain " waaaah turn so near to my bike ah" .... Arrrrgh .... frustrating

walan . . seem real hard, the u turn shoulder is fat one or the skinny shoulder one? at 4.02 we were given 2 tries on u turn with the skinny shoulder, me all wide turning sia. if like that i think i better go sp on u turning before i go road lesson.

any tips of u turning? is it same technique apply at crank course? technically i think crank course course is even narrow and sharper right? dont know why i cant do it for u turn

about the same, just that instead of turn right then turn left, you do two right turn. but for me, during the old test route, when i stop my bike for u-turn, my bike is like perpendicular to the white line, so when i move off again, it's just like a simple right turn.

most important is your eye point.

u turn is simple after u learnt the technique.there was once the instructor told me when stopping lean ur body the opp side of the bike so tat ur right leg won't come down.then when doin u turn keep ur eye glue to the targetted area u wan to turn to and adjust ur speed by half clutch and rear brake.last time the old test route u turn is at the narrow one.i u turn in to the first lane instead to the second lane lor.if u learnt the correct technique u can u turn very easy de

hahah...sometimes the intructors can be quite *****Y in the way they say things...Just have to be liberal about it...

Though most BBDC instructors are really nice and helpful..Thumbs up for that

Im still very worried..Must practice more...tomorrow going again.Last slot.Hopefully can pass -crossing my fingers-

Once past this stage no much of worries already...Can concentrate on polishing the Circuit skills...Very horrible on PLANK .. haha..embarassing.

narrow blank, grip your tank, look forth and control your speed before you go up. The last I did on the s4 was step on my rear brakes to control the speed-slow enough to bring your bike straight but not till you wobble- and you can pass ;) try going for SP to test the above.

Ouuh so SWEET!!.giving me pointers!! thank you...i'll remember that...Can be quite absent minded at times...

Mind will just go blank when its my turn...then will end up doing everything wrong..

hahah...Instructors always comment that Im dancing on the PLANK....

if that's the case, go through in your mind what and how you need to do while waiting. i used to run through what to note while waiting for my turn.. like for e-brake, most people have the tendency to look at the line, so must remind myself to look far, lock my elbow etc..

but dont think too much until over stress yourself. learning should be a fun process. ;)

It's always been that way, the instructors don't standardise with what they what, been confused by them since 1.03, one instructor say this, the assistant instructor say that. So u imagine how confusing that can be to a new new learner.

Believe me, there's enough time to do lane change, cos I did it for the 4 RRs that I went for b4 TP and also done it on the day of TP. Cos like what u said, no time limit, so just wait till the road is clear then do the u-turn. This is the instruction given anyway, wait for the road to clear b4 turning. After u-turn, gotta full throttle to do lane change b4 reaching the 70km/h sign, but if someone doesn't rev hard, then the traffic might catch up. It is possible.

for the 2b bikes in bbdc, in front got 3 lights... it will light up when your speed is above 30km/h, when you depress your front or rear brake.

usually for me, i will speed up above 30km/h, let the bulb lights up then slowly adjust my speed down.. so by the time i am stopping, my speed is already slowly decreasing, instead of still going at say maybe 35km/h and stop suddenly.

so to the instructor standing there, what he see is i had achieve the desire speed and managed to stop before the line.

as for the instructors...yeap they are quite a confusing lot!..all they do is twist my mind..some actually tekan people as if ur in military school.they really exercise their power..even when u stand around a meter away from them...they still insist on using the LOUD hailer...Like WTF..

.i have fear for some of them too.. Loo...Yong...err cant remember the other few...

Till today right when i want to mount my bike i have to put the side stand...Hahahaha....If not for sure lose balance..hahahThat explains my balancing skills on the plank...

The blue light is for front brake, red one for rear brake and the green one is for the 30km/h speed. Thus bikes that do not have all 3 lights r not use for TP.

Seems like a lot of ppl think that the new test route is easier cos it's shorter. New test route means that even the instructors r not sure what the testers want, so it's harder for the instructors to give tips.

The number of testers is still 10 even though the route is shorter, which means those being tested in new test route have no time to recover and calm down from mistakes made. For old test route, "testees" have time to recover and calm down while travelling on stretches where there's no testers if they make a mistake earlier on. Shorter route also means the testers r closer to one another, so mistakes made may not be spotted by one tester, but the next tester spots it. Longer test route means that one tester gotta "cover" a bigger area, so testers might just miss the mistakes made.
