But i'm not sure where u heard from that v twin performance is not so good? If so, i think ducati can close shop liao. Fyi, 90 degree V twin is ducati signature engine configuration.

haha. Sorry if my post is of any offence. Cos still very noob over bikes.

I've research on cruisers for 2b, and mostly people recommend phantom ta200.

Which I think people will usually compare different cruisers with phantom .

I was actually thinking of getting a shadow 125 or aquila 125 but it's kinda rare in sg thou :sian:

your post isn't offensive la. I was jus curious. Even if u seen it over the net, diff ppl got diff expectation, so cant really believe everything. That's why there's always a lie in believe. :p

As for why most ppl recommend ta200 is becos like u say, there isnt much choice available for our local 2b cruiser market. Next, most ppl will upgrade when they get 2a/2 so being a honda, it resale value is naturally higher as compared to say, daelim daystar. Also, becos it is such a common bike, parts are easily and readily available, so it bring down the cost of maintanence.

Oh, and most 2b bike are single cylinder, so there isnt much power to compare with in the first place less the 2 strokers. Get a bike you really fancy and not a bike where others say it is good and end up not happy with ur ride. gain some road exp during ur pplate days. The road exp sure will come handy in future when u get a more powerful ride.

remember, with greater power come greater responsibility..

Congrats to the people who passed TP! :thumb:

I prefer phantom because i think it looks cool with box...to me, the more box the merrier! :cheeky:

Anyway...is there like some documents of the bike which is a must keep on the bike at all times? Cause I read the Phantom manual and they said something about a document compartment to keep bike documents.

Passed 5.01~! 3 student taking today..

The instructor say he would pass people that he think that he's ready for 5.02.. I thought i cannot make it. I'm rather shocked when he say i passed~! Now i don't even think i can make it for 5.02..

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

You passed! Means you have what it takes, so try not to demoralize yourself too much.

The instructor said the school assessment is stricter than TP, if you can made it this far, you have what it takes. :)

That's what I was saying!

5.01 is basically the same as 5.02, go through all the circuit things right?

If you can go through it without any problem for 5.01, 5.02 shouldn't be that hard or any different. :)

All the practs before 5.01 already equipped you with the skills you need to pass 5.02, there is actually no reason for you not passing your circuit assessment.

IMO...The things which makes people fail 5.02 is actually quite dependent on luck, nervousness, poor condition bike and the thought of it being hard and many people failed at that pract...skill wise, it's actually not a problem or a factor here. Just be confident of your skills, try not to worry to much and you'll do fine. :thumb:

Yep. Confidence is the key.

I am a pretty negative person, but bike trains alot on your confidence. I keep worrying what if I did this, what if I forgot smething etc. Once you have the confidence to believe what you do is right, it's hard for them to give you points.

Just take it normally ^^

One thing not to shy about is the bike condition. Sometimes instructors will just say it's nothing much, but if you really find the bike not suitable, die die change.

Not for the sake of just passing this subject, but confidence as well.

I was pretty confident with my S course until the day I got a bike with a hard rear brake bike. End up I hit the curb and skid . It took me few RC before I dare to go back to my usual speed along the S course.

Always test your brakes during your warm up

Thanks ^^

Didnt calculate the exact , but should be around 900+

I enrolled last October and start lesson on the start of November.

Slow learner LOL~

got 12 points for TP.

4 for blind spot checking, which I dunno where also haha. Maybe check too fast, they never see.

2 for delay moving off. I was at the junction before S course. I wasnt sure if there's enough space for me to line up, so I stayed behind. Then upon realising I got space, I move up and line up. (In one single traffic light) lols

The rest mainly on wide and sharp turning.

=D

haha no need scare de. Cos compared to class 3 where you got an instructor sitting beside, class 2(a/b) is all independent de. Not that stress relatively .

sometimes it's luck also. I worry over my plank, got over it swee swee, happy, go e brake, didnt brake enough, hit red line x_X I did 8.01 5 times lol.

Dont worry for TP, they will provide good condition bikes. The mechanics will check the bike and make sure the bike used are good condition de. So during warm up if any bike you use doesnt feel good, report to the instructor.

I've gone a long way. If I can, you guys sure can de
