Today did a bit of road trip. Around 140km.

Went to Admiralty pick up my girlfriend, Woodland Ave 12 there got accident, lorry + car + car. After pick her up, go changi beach picnic.

On the way there got 2 trucks carrying grey sands...Lucky I wearing jacket...the truck go so fast till the sand like machine gun! Hitting me at my vulnerably point, NECK! My visor shielded off most of the projectile...not much damaged to it though.

Although it's sunday, amazingly that area has a lot of empty lots to park, so no problem there. Closed carpark = free. After picnic, took her to a tour around singapore! If I not wrong...ECP > AYE > PIE > BKE > SLE. Oh...and the 8km straight changi coast road! Didn't go really fast though, scared got TP hiding. haha.

Sometime after the beautiful town scenery from AYE, my gf literally fell asleep on the bike...got once I do cornering she suddenly woke up and jerked a bit, almost skid. Haha.

During this trip...no less than 10 times when I'm travelling in my lane, cars come up from behind me, tail gate me, then come up from behind and squeeze me out of the lane. Most of the time it's P platers. Really considering on filming my rides...been experiencing so many close shaves, maybe my riding video will be interesting.

it's normal.. :sian:

be it p plate driver, or experience old unkers driving their "prestigious" C class mercs/bmw/audi .

They assume just because they've this little money to get some cheapest "branded" cars around, they own the road. And they literally squeeze motorist out of our lane .

We riders pay road tax as well, we're free to use the road !! I've gotten squeeze out of the lane so many times (and sadly it's always those "branded" car owners I speak of) . They seriously have an ego problem :dot:

Or tailgate freaking close to you .

I've gotten used to those people too...usually I just lane split then go back to my lane behind them. I don't know what the people are rushing to...they want get chased down by TP and get summon is their problem, don't force me to join them! Some more I pillioning people, their life in my hands so I go slower. It's not my fault that the garment set the road to be 90km/h and I'm just obeying the rules.

Branded cars, heavy vehicles and, (unfortunately) female drivers are what I tend to look out for more OTR.

Yea. Just look at CTE. Idiot drivers trying to overtake and cut each other IN A JAM. As a result causing more JAM.

If not for my love for wide handlebar (actually ape hanger .. but illegal in sg .. lazy to do and change when inspection) .. makes it hard to split also.. hais.

agreed. sometimes female drivers always make last minute decisions. before i got my license i thought male drivers are the worst. after i get my license i realise female drivers are more dangerous. about 3 times i almost got knocked down by poly female drivers at SP itself. they know their mistake but all 3 give the arrogant face and never even bother to say sorry. but not all females are like that.

aiya.. no point being hot headed with cagers.. damn used to their "plain" ignorant.. cant be bothered about them already.. just making sure i get from A to B safely and report back to my mum at the end of the day..

i recalled 1 incident whereby a stupid dunno lancer EX or Evo X wannabe and a modded nissan wanna play.. somemore i'm in the middle of the both.. when green light i just show them what is 0-100 in 4 seconds leaving them in my trail of carbon.. run away from them should be the most ideal

CTE towards SLE is so far the worst expressway to me while riding. everytime jam near the amk because of road works. and the cars everytime change lane without due care. my attachment last year march until now they still doing road works for CTE widdening. they widdening the CTE for more than a year already. i try to avoid the expressway as much as i can. but CTE towards the City so far ok. only the tunnel cainhill and chinatown exit there the drivers anyhow lane change.

it takes alot of determination bro.. though i would advise having a 2a bike as a stepping stone as the power delivery from the 4 cylinder engine is different from the single cylinder.

definitely haha.. but if i go for 2A bikes, i would have to fork out a huge amount of cash for the bike and the insurance, not mentioning repairs if the bike breaks down or whatsoever, it would be a freaksome amount compared to a 2B bike. I would personally like to change to a RVF but when i think again, RVFs and CBRs are very old bikes. I think it as waiting 2 years and after getting class 2, maybe i could persuade my dad to get me a 1st hand CBR1000 or GSX1000R with ABS installed. This would be much more safer. But i would like to ask, how would you explain the difference in a 4 cylinder engine from a single cylinder. Don't mention machine parts like piston all these as i roughly know, but rather i mean performance wise and how would you describe the feel :D

bro, the feeling.. for me.. i would say the throttle control is more delicate.. why not get a 2nd hand S4? like spec 2? the resale value is there after riding for a year. definitely u would lose much money.. getting used to the heavy weight is also another good practice.. i would dare say that my hornet's handling is more heavy than that of S4 as the tires are 130 front and 180 rear.. I have riden both.. u also know that class 2a/2 only has 3 practical lessons.. might not be enough for u to get used to. just sharing my experience.. hopefully no offend to u bro.

Taxi although dangerous...but you can predict what they wanna do usually, so still okay.

I'm gonna buy a cheap camera to film my ride! Enough of silly drivers, time to catch them on video!

@cxartizt7

My FC still stays around 38km/l...only 10km/l difference from yours. :o

Anyway...how do you ride to school during rainy mornings?
