care to share ur bike shop name? i need carb tuning...

kim keat motor at amk ind park 2a

level 5.

i alway look for them when come to engine as he handle it well. Now easily can drag any gear.example: gear 1 - 30km then changed gear 2. etc

hit 90km easily but too response to throttle. i had to tune lean slightly.

before i done this bike was powerless hard to reach even 80km/hrs cant drag each gear after 20km interver.

so how to set it? wat position is urs at?

difference bike had difference tuning cant compare as the jetting in the carb might be higher or lower depend on the last setting done. that why not point comparing you can go carpark see all the wave air mixture screw sure difference setting. best get a mech to tune for you as you might tune out of range cause power loss or too lean that will damage the engine.

I last time read in a article & try tuning myself & everything go harewire.

then go motor shop to tune.

if u want to try can just turn the screw 1/8 clkwise or anticlkwise to see the differ. if which side had more power you will feel it.

after that look at the plug after 3 days of riding.

ahhhh i see... i'm kinda into DIY now... its abit of a hobby now... i guess tml i'll check out my plugs and see...

btw, if its too rich, also logically speaking that e bike fuel consumption is higher rite??

wat quite surprsied me now is that "too lean" and "too rich" will cause backfire... i always tot it was only "too rich", excess fuel that would cause backfire... amazing.

Answer:- might not be depend on how u rode. if u keep dragging the bike at high speed the fuel consumtion sure high. just do some milage recording with a full tank will know. i do that after tune. around the same for my wave 40+km per lite. still ok.

me too love to diy. I done most of the regular serving myself plug change, bleeding brake, chain adjust, oil changed, air filter change..etc after learning though failure.

most of the answer can be found through searching through the internet. i done my there.

wat i mean is, based on same type of riding, road condition, weight etc... but the difference is e setting which is 1 bike rich and another bike lean... does it haf any Significant difference(say 30km) in fuel consumption???

yea i used to always let the mech do my bike, afraid i might screw things up and in the end pay even more... but wave parts are just so damn cheap, even if i do realyl screw up... e price wouldnt make a surge in my heartbeat.... i mean, thats why we ride a wave rite!!

But the leaner (not too lean) bike will be faster.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

not much differ in fuel consumption as i just calcuated from my fuel top up this evening 1litre can travel around 50km. still around the same as before. unless you change the carb & hjetting pin then there will be differ.

-air filter dirty

- carb out of tune

- clutch plate spring wear off. ( this can really make you bike response well ).

as my jb friend after changing the clutch plate spring from the right cover can pick up fast

tire air not enough.etc

wah dats damn good, mine can go only 30+ km per litre... anyway see any diff, i just made it abit leaner, half turn to the left....

i noticed my plugs are like charcoal in colour, lotsa soot, so means too rich... after making half a turn to the left, starting of bike is much easier!!!

usually take abt 1sec to crank start... after making it leaner, almost immediately can start.... much reponsive in that matter.... anyway tml top up full tank and test ba.. will let u all noe e result then....

try riding for a few more days before you open the plug out again to see the result. compare it to the link i give you. Remember not too lean, bike will over heat.
