For my personal riding style. My average is also 42km/l in city riding.

Last month August I rode up to Cameron highlands. 100 Km/hr on highway. My tank also hit 125km and then ran out of petrol. I carry extra 5L petrol can with me in my basket, so no problem, I will stop to top up every 120km. So I think it's quite normal if you always chiong 100km/hr on Singapore highways.

nice adventure!

btw can i ask did you let the bike cool down every xxx km?

i also want try but worry about issues springing up along the way

btw i realise alot of difference between riders on the eo changes and sparkplug changes.. i think the general consensus is roughly 3km eo change, about 3 eo changes, change the sparkplugs.

of course you want to change earlier the better, afterall theres no oil filter for wave..

for me personally, change eo once a month, sparkplug also change.. i mean afterall i change at unique and their fuch comp 4t(semi syn) goes for 12 bucks, with spark plug is 15.. so might as well.

per month i clock roughly 1500-2000km.. just fyi.

Guys...need to check with you regarding the fuel consumption. How far can a full tank last?? Mine is only 125km. Is it normal?

i can go roughly 500-550 minimum... lol.. but then again that was an expensive mod, but with the mileage i clock, worthy investment for me..

Hi, just bought myself a wave. How long does it take for you guys to change eo and spark plug? By mileage or months?

Hi all! Mind sharing...whr can I get a brand new coverset and how much it cost? At JB I check is RM290.

guys hope i dont offend anyone, but i will strongly recommend the upgrade of hella horns for wave, did that when i first bought mine in june/july.

if can change tyres too, you dont know what kinda abuse the previous owner did, plus it isnt all too expensive too.

if can rear brake shoe and front brake pads too.

just my advice.. yeah..

Hey Bro, I ride a 7 years old Wave R. I did not stop to cool down the bike. I only rest at petrol kiosk once every 240km roughly. This is after the petrol in my bike tank and my petrol can is used up. When I rest at the petrol after roughly 240km, my friends and I do rest for about 30min. Drink up, use restroom, smoke etc...

You won't regret going up and down the cameron mountain roads. The wave can take sweeping bends at 90+kph. Very very shiok. I am only 4 months riding. And after the trip up and down is 1000km. I do feel much more confident with the Wave. Very good bike, I was also riding with a loose piston ring. Thats what the Mechanic at JB ahboy said. must find some way to make my headlights brighter. Riding up the mountain at night quite hard when I couldn't see much in front of me.

It would be interesting to do a tour with just waves or 200cc and below. Everyone will have to buy personal petrol can. Malacca is just for short trip, go makan and enjoy. Cameron will be for a longer riding experience and to make your ass into an iron butt. Really the mountainous roads are really great experience, especially riding at night up the mountain!

Most of you stop at N gear or gear 1 at traffic light?

Which is better?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

Anyone knows how much if wanna change the clutch plate and battery? Which shop does it at an affordable price? Short of cash ah. Hehehe

Bike sounds at around 60km/h and always died at 1st gear during idle at lights. So sent the bike to regular motor shop in JB yesterday and a test ride. Clutch wear. So change, since draining, so change engine oil, spark plug, air filter.

Damages:

Clutch RM 105,

Honda air filter (Made in Thailand) RM 28.

NKG-G Racing spark plug (Made in Nagoya, Japan) RM 15.

Repsol Moto Rider 4T 15W50 RM 28.

Engine block cleaning F.O.C.

Total damage: RM 176.

Battery had brought at LAB last year. Yuasa life battery: ready battery SGD 35, self pour SGD 30.

So at what speed do you maintain to go touring?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now F

North South Highway, never care about the speed. I always maintained at 3/4 throttle which in the end will reached 110 km/h.
