Sorry that i have misunderstood u.

It's just that alot of ppl(including my family member) think it's crazy to spend on good stuff for such a bike.

I just cant stand ppl who couldn't give a sh*t abt their car/bike.

Nv wash also can, at least look after the engine

Hey hey... no problem lah. Agreed... engine must take good care, that is the heart of the bike. If it is not pumping, the bike is not moving.

Funmasters, i would recommend. But u must be able to take the mechianic's weird temperament, else he is a good mechanic who tells u the truth.

sorry,newbie. where is funmasters? do u have the address? and how much they charge for overhaul... btw do overhaul include service gearbox and clutch system?

ppl tends to change EO every 1k-1.5k becos this bike eats up the EO. . ..so check ur EO with the dip stick,,top up when needed. . if u use the cheapo oil, just change every week!

 

for me i use top grade oil, therefore i change every 2k-2.5k

plug change about 5-8 EO change..with irridium plug.

 

make a habit to pump ur tyres every time u go pump petrol.

 

lube ur chain weekly...tighten when needed.

 

change ur air filter about every 10k km. For me i mod K&N air filter..just wash no need change.increased power oso.

 

remember to change ur brake shoe also when u change tyres..it better to change new one cos its not exp and easier to change cos wheel taken out during tyre change.

 

Can give some examples of top grade eo and cheap ones?

yea I looking as well... my wave feels like losing horsepower.... dunno should do full service or overhaul..

motul 300v good 1.. abt 28bucks...(but why on earth u wanna spend so much on a wave??? waste $$$)

 

castrol activ 4T... price i not too sure... but my wave is using..

 

i think u do servicing first lar... why waste so much $$ do overhual.. unless ur fuel consumption is like trashed... trying changing ur air filter if u havent changed be4... and wash ur carbs as well...

 

if i'm not mistaken, wave goes abt 40+km/litre at least rite? so if urs is like 20+km/litre... den u shld do a overhual, else why waste $?

Tks for the advice..... my current fc is abt 50km/l. Still don't know what are the signs that indicate the need to overhaul.... Will try a full service to see if it helps or not first.... :)

anyone know the price of changing the oil seal to the front part of the engine near the exhast header as it leaking oil from the sealing area.

mine probably need a overhual more than urs.. i'm running at 130km den reserve light blink... which is abt 43km/l.... indicators could be exhaust colour.... or veri veri poor consumption which i mention...

normally what speed are you traveling at? speed does affect the fc of the wave..
