ah, so help me answer a question thats been bugging me since i got my 600RR.

is the 600RR realli carrying the same speed and acceleration as the S4 if i ride at under 7k rpm? how much difference does the additional 200cc make (disregarding the fact that one is a V-Tec and the other a PGM-DSFI)?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Mine is a Version S dun have V-Tec technology. Feels that the pickup is abt the same....upon gradually acceleration. The diff is the S4 is mizzing something....the roar of the under seat exhaust...but the S4 delivers the speed with less roughness from the engine. I guess the RR is strictly built for performance. RR sounded rough in low rpm which is very normal (i had to explain to the interested buyer) and extraordinary smooth in very high rev.

Actually i m quite happy with the S4 went around town yesterday clocking 52km and the fuel "needle" (not the fuel bar) still flashes close to Full. Nothin muz to complain for a 10yrs old junk bike...hahahaha..

If i were to consider in my personal riding style....i guess i m a low rev rider whom apperciate power and torque in the lower end. From experience when the RR hit 6k and above, it can pull away from anything below 750cc :thumb:

In 6mth of ownership of the RR, i guess more than 5.5mth i m juz riding a S4 with fairring, hahaha...it is an ultimate and reliable machine to keep for people whom are keen in the art of trackin :cheeky:

My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.

Dear fellow Honda Riders,

I have an announcement to make..

I will be bringing in specially extended 4" sliders direct from the United States supplier. All model of F2, F3, F4, F4i and 600 RR sliders available including no cut ones. The sliders will be 1" longer than standard length(3"). Longer sliders will protect the bike more in case of a low side crash. Made of high quality Delrin and not nylon or plastic. Sliders come in 2 colours, black and white.

Price : S$55 without installation / S$60 for no cut sliders (price based on 10 pcs) S$50 without installation / S$45 for no cut sliders (price based on 20 pcs)

Scheme : Commercial Mass Order (min 10 pcs to ship/ 20 pcs is best[discount])

When & Where to Place Order : Another announcement will be made if the CMO thread is approve by SGPBIKES administrators. Once approved, pls proceed to the CMO forum and look for the "Extended 4" Slider Sale" thread and place order. Further instructions can be found there.

What are the advantages of these sliders?

These sliders are specially made to extend to 4" long measuring from the frame. I've used sliders that are commonly found in the streets of Singapore and whenever I crashed, I found out that the sliders I used is ineffective. What's the use of drilling 2 holes(for some cases) in the fairings to install this so called popular sliders only to find out that it didn't help when u crashed, still u got rashed fairings, cracked fairings here and there, rashed or cracked stator cover and or clutch cover. The answers to these problems are we need a slider which is slightly longer so that the bike during a fall will tilt at a slightly higher angle thus reducing the amount of contact area on the tarmac. The slider must not break upon impact thus Delrin is used which is a better material compared to nylon or plastic. Leading brand in the market selling for S$80 of the same extended version but made of nylon and S$140 for the no cut sliders.

Guys if you're interested, pls PM me so that I can have an idea on the market. If I can have 20 orders in a list in a short time..the price will be discounted.

honesty....is FC really that important? when the model is question were like track-orianted high rev monstor pushing over 100BHP ?

i guess if FC is really a concern...then better look outside the "sportbike" Grp.:cheeky:

Cant agree more with this... dont you think performance machines doesnt come with good FC? one example, WRX drinks petrol like a beast. I think 1 tank FC about 220-260 is reasonable for sportsbikes
