Basically for me is would like to take up a sportbike for rides...Juz dat I'm having fickle minded on which bikes to tk aft my class 2.

 

I can simply tk over the 01 CBR600 frm my colleague & COI for less den a yr or considering getting a new GSX-R 1000 or CBR1000RR...

 

I'm nt reali into tracks or wana challenge anybody in terms of speed, juz simply wan to ride only...

 

I'm bit stucked in the 2 options above...But if i'm nt wrong, recommendation will be tking the 01 1st, gain experienced & den change rite?

both bikes mentioned are more than capable for the road. plus, if u suddenly develop the itch for track later on, the cbr600f4 is equally up for it, since you'd be track newbie.

 

so i'd suppose the better choice for you would be down to economics. if u take the 600, how soon finance-wise before you can up to a brand new 1000 (assuming thats your goal)? would it be soon enough for you, or would you rather save the money and get a brand new bike now?

Hmm, will tk into consideration..I need to get more details frm my fren 1st b4 making up my mind...He drive most of the time therefore bike is nt much of a usage to him therefore he letting go at a pretty low & cheaper price & i juz hav to COI for ard 10 mths...Dat y i'm interested in tk ov.

james, the 01 cbr 600 is more commonly known as cbr600f4i, there are too versions for this model. one is the touring one which has only 1 big seat for rider and pillion and the sports version which the pillion and rider's seat is separated.

 

the cbr600f4i is definately a gd bike for new class 2 riders. after changing 3 class 2 bikes, i still feel the handling of the f4i is the best among them. fc wise is gd considering the factor that it is a sportsbike.

i simple cannot understand why must add GST part , reg , IU unit. i can undertsnad must add insurance plus COE, but not the rest....

 

i must say that GST is included in the machine price already, why must pay double? IU unit and REG, as i heard somewhere from LTA , it should be included in the machines when you purchase. where got vehicle reg with out IU one??

 

as i am in the auto mobile trade, i think it is wrong. WHy dun they just say machine price x amt. then add import charges, port tax, transportation, inspection, convertion, storage, kopi money. i will check woth LTA again to find out more.

 

somemore, when i was shopping ard, some cun nt tried to pulled a fast one. bike plus , blah blah tax, reg , coe total. then he times interest rate times no of years. later asked me , how much deposit. then the total payable plus interest minus away deposit divide by no of months......wah paingz like dat also can. then i ask him , the sums wrong liao, he said forgot to add other costs...PIANGZ

actually i cant be bothered with the nitty-gritties.

 

i will just ask, this amount of deposit and pull this number of years, how much? i take down his quote, next shop same questions, take down quote. best offer wins it for me. of coz, in the first place i dont visit black shops at all.

 

i personally dun see the point of asking for a breakdown of prices. all the kopi money, tea money, half-boiled eggs and even insurance quote also might be several hundred more than actual. i'm only interested in what final amount he wants; thats the amount he is selling the bike for. what for let myself kena smoke by the nitty-gritties, which is purely his way of reducing his stated "machine price" to make it seem like his shop sells bike cheaper than others.

nowadays buy bike damn difficult leh,wanna get a cbr600rr but got pple ask to wait for 08 model(no offence,i understand ur reason)...got pple say dun buy at all....got pple say buy first hand no point got pple say buy 2nd hand no point...

 

in the end i guess just follow my heart.....what i want i buy...if not damn headache...hehe
