anyway u can check out vortex rearsets price. i dunno how much it costs but i think its cheaper then 500. just call 97398451 look for joshua.

the part(cam chain tensioner lifter) itself costs roughly $40+.

1) thats the price if u were to DIY.

or

2) u can buy it off the shelf at fjt or eversuccess and get your favourite mech to change for u and u pay labour.

or

3) u can just go to any workshop for a quote. but its likely in the region of 100-200+. since u were to spend so much, might as well go for a full top overhaul with valve clearances adjustment, shims, cam change tensioner lifter, sprockets, chain, tensioner guide, etc... all done for about $500 or so.

Bro you are wellcome, as rein jahat14 said will inform you once we set the date. You can also let us know which week of the month you are available in advance, so we can arrange towards the date.

 

So far I went to gp with tealeaf and rein jahat14 separately. It may not be all member go together but once we know each other available date we can do something like arrange change of duty roaster, visit doc.......... , on leave:cheeky: . etc

 

So just feel free to post your available date, our radar will pick it up and action will bw taken.

Your mileage good le, my only 73000++K only. My bike is under maintenance now. will collect it by 1800hrs.

 

Once I get the actual cost for the tensioner I will let all of you know.

I changed my tensioner today, it cost $87.00 and the labour cost is about $80.00.

 

labour cost can be leser bcos today, I not only change tensioner I also do engine oil change, brake fluid change, coolant change.

 

The bike shop is Gerry Looi at Tampines industry park.
