Good to hear that our notes telly, else quite frightening...spending 5 figures on a gay spider! Usually after riding, if u start again, it is juz like the F4, requires one one soft clicks! But from the specs, the compression ratio quite similar to the F4 leh...why huh. Anyway did Alvzz solved his Starting problems?

i read up somewhere that said, the RR PGM-Fi works differently from the F4i version.i guess in layman term it means there are more "system check/fault check" & the work the engine is tune is different.

 

in layman,the RR is a high rev spider.something that u need to "push it real hard"(read-6K rpm & above) b4 it performs while F4i having touring in mind....are spare with the high-rev/high-virbration found on the RR.

 

Dun believe Honda makes the clutch so heavy....like my other bike... blister coming out from my finger liao

 

if u refer to de other "red" underseat exhaust one...then nope..the RR is much ligther(about 30% ligther compare to mine last time).get it fix....could be cable need oil or plate is wearing off liao.

Yup, agreed. The ride is definately rough below 5k feel loads of bassy noises from the exhaust but the power like less than a Super 4(with V-tech). Sadly a graet disapointment till i tok to Alvzz, he mention abt the mid-band. Till then it did work out at 6K+, lots and loads of boost coming from nowhere! But the interesting thing is that at that point, the machine's vibration and aerodynamics intergrity seems to disapper, it certainly feels like wind breaker!! Cool :thumb:

 

The F class is no doubt the best in its comfort and fuel effiency, design to have more torque and response at lower rpms. For mi that is the fun part, especially on Spore rds, red light to red light conditions. In contrast, the newer gen are far more slower in the response, hahaha, had stalled the engine twice since i got it. Got to put on P-plate nxt time. It really requires higer revs to move it. Higher revs equals higher fuel consumption equal less money to la kopi :weep:

 

Seriously thinking of making some changes to make it more F4. Maybe i should start adding tooths to my rear spoket. Agility is a problem when the speed is abv 170, on the F4 i had the impression of taking save evasive action whenever my Lighted Path was upset. But this spidy seems to locked on to the end of the road, not much compromise in the steering angle and certainly no rooms for mistake...in short, not for the weak heart.

 

Thanks Mr Hockie for the feedbk :thumb: , then i m quite sure my clutch is probaly one factor contributing to the uncomfortable experiences. Dun remember riding any jap bike that comes with a heavy clutch. Had also notices some soft rumbling sound from the clutch plates....there it goes for my la kopi fund again.

 

The ideas of mod-ing the exhaust flashed across, but thinking of removing the tail again, i wait for the next blue moon. Do u have any idea where i can get the blue print of the RS-5 or the Arkaprovic? To cut the pipe is already a big headache, that is why last time i thought of getting a used one to clone a RS-5 alike without spending those figures.

Boonsiew 400SF Vtec-3 : 52.3HP @ 11.5K RPM (39kw),3.82kg-m @ 9.5k rpm

 

the current spider is at 11.5k RPM : 105HP , 6.63kg-m

 

the current spider doing 52.3HP at : 6.8K RPM , 5.8kg-m

 

sad to say,the spider at below 5k RPM : 35HP only , 5.11kg-m

but the extra 200cc apart from 400SF,do make a different lor.the bike not slow....u are too fast.:nono:

Wow Mr Hockie is really someone who handles neat figures :thumb: I see the figure explains alot, no wonder it feel like Super 4 at low revs! Initially thought the ECU went haywire or the fuel feed go problem. The diff is really big on tis generation. Wonder wat kindda machine we will be looking at in the 08 and 09 models.

 

Dun thinks i will ever see the needles at 12k rpm....not on local roads anyway. 240km is certainly comforting! From the specs it can only go 230. Good to know!

 

Already start to get used to the bassy notes the exhaust produces.... starting to like it....like music to the ears. Not muz material to choose from to lighten the weight. Most of the "weight lost" had been done in the R&D liao. Unless going for tiatanium or alloy material. The cost in the industrial market is already quite ex, excluding welding and customizing. The thermal expansion and the heat dissipation might not be friendly to the butt, juz above the "heater". The cost involves probaly can get several Akar.

 

After market exhaust can only drop btw 300g to 500g, it does lighten the load but it also increases the flow rate and consumption. For long run, not fuel ecnomics. Juz hope to "tune" the notes, not really for the boost but rather the looks...hahaha.

think like that i can't do reloan liao unless use my dad's name to be owner....but don't want la....later he nag nag nag....arghh....back to the drawing board....

Wow bro, u manage to find a RR03? So many people looking for one!

 

The micron and the PC3, the most worth 1.5K. On second market, it will be valued about 900 if the condition is good.

 

14,900-900=14,000 for the RR03. New was 19500 machine. Owner losses 5.5K in 3yrs deperciation. 14,000-1000 (rd tax+TPFT+transfer) =13k not too bad :thumb:

 

It depend on guts feeling loh, if u thinks the paintwork and condition is good, by all means go ahead loh. Do take note, if u find the sound of the engine is rough, that is normal for an RR. Quite diff form convection in line four. Anyway with the micro on and the PC3....well it shld sound agressive!

 

For the loan, if u approach Hitachi, they will charge u 100 bucks as a process fee. Without the CPF printout, most probaly the loan will not get thur...100 bucks non-refundable. They can only loan up to 80%, any vehicle more than 3yrs old likely to get less than 80%.

Any one knows the market price for a FV plate CBR600F4i now?

 

Need some advise whether to get this bike or a Super 4 spec II.

 

Also, not too sure what's the difference between a sports model and a sports tourer model.

 

Petrol comsumption? full tank-$? for ?km

 

Also, will the bike look very odd if 2 side panniers is fixed as im used to having box and storage space.

 

Any kind souls can advise?

9 - 10K should be the range . Btw , there is an FT plate yellow touring f4i at Loois . FT plate , do take a look .

Ya the market price for this F4 model very hard to come down. As Speedpass mention, should be around that range loh. Try to go for the F4 class if u already have the qualify liciense.

 

The pricing btw S4 n F4 only a few K diff. Insurance for 3rd party also abt 100 bucks diff. All the horsepower is there when u need it. The torque, burst of the pickup is fun to play with as compare to a S4.

 

Might be ya lucky day, think there is a bro here intending to sell his F4i Sports! U can try to PM KORI for more info. Goodluck unless he changed his mind to keep it !

Oh yeah, u bet. It is a pity that i got a weak heart else can join u guys to burn some rubbers. Got a few outstanding stuff to be done on hand, outing with passport will be some distance away. Hopefully some other bro like Kori, Hong, xized, hmm_ and the rest can go for a short sight seeing trip together..not to forget the Tim Sum(primary purpose)...hehehe.. :cheeky:
