work out your sum 1st.

after adding in all those necessory expends like installment, petrol, rdtax, insurance & maintance.

then decide which range of product u want to purchase.

RS250 has high insurance & petrol/2T cost.something which u may have to factor in b4 buying.

G4? no idea whats that.

Pardon my ignorance, i think i came across an article here... some donkey months backs...duno which thread. It did state in figures RS250 does burn loads of fuel, one of the second highest in the 2-wheel world, not to mention 2T.

First cash burner is awarded to MV Agusta, burns more than a 1.5 car :giddy:

Good to see nice to touch, once engine start, drain your blood. Think it cost a dollar of petrol idling away at a red light controlled junction.

Hahaha, direct mixing! juz like the KTM, but again it is raw in power. People are going for its response and pickup rather than top speed. But the wear and tear is simply too high...there is a condition in the 2-stroker which happens so commonly that there is actually a term for it... piston jam :giddy:

During school days, joined those stupid NPCC thingy, went for one of the outing at the traffic police mobile squad HQ. Remember the orientation officers mentioned dunno how many percentage of the accident was caused by the same movie...hahaha...singapore is a small unexciting city whereby people only watch tv after work...and some handful choose to mimick their idol.

The local accident rate might be lower if back than, the director had put Andy on a TZR :cheeky: Thinking back again, if the movie does not boost the sales of PGM and HRC, there will not be sufficent fund in the R&D dept for our EFI,DSFI and even HISS. Good n bad lah :cheeky:

Hahaha... ya lor those were the good old dayz for PGM's tua pay kong pipes, dry clutches(my other museum bike) and high pitch ear piercing after market end can.

GPR damper cost 700 bucks? Serious meh?

A Bitubo nitrogen gas compression type only cost abt 700+, think with 12 or 15 clicks adjustable damping.

SCOTTS also worth considering, though they say is for off road use, but i think if it can be use in off rd application, it definately be more lasting for street use. Damage at 800+, but certainly more dashing looking and better in security features.

bitubo design is like ohlins

GPR design is like scotts.

end of day...i prefer the scott way of fixing on the steer cone & instand numbered adjustment.instead of remember "click"....something itchy hand will play with de "click"....

Ya lor i saw that marketing sh*t coming too while searching for one last time!

For example : Usually people want to change bike(maybe R1 to K5), the owner wants to keep the damper, but the bracket is not reuseable on the new ride. If the owner were to buy juz a K5 bracket solely, the cost of the bracket will be just a few hundred dollars lesser than a brand new complete set!

They monopolized the bracket via this method. Any lay man can see that the bloody piece of aluminium bracket does not worth 400 or maybe 500 bucks. Thus forcing people to purchase new damper set everytime they change a ride.

Ofcourse they can't deter user from selling to each other with the same model. They had pumped in money in the R&D to study further in to the tensile strength of the material. A term UTS, Ultimate Tensile Stress, is a SI unit used to determine the amount of stress a material can withstand before it break or crack.

And usually, if u had noticed, the bracket comes in cleanly milled aluminium with the cool shiny looks(one of the lowest UTS material). They uses the softest material available, once there is a hair line crack, it is not safe to use anymore.

Not to mention some brand, u think those holes in between the bracket looks cool and is made to save weight, think again. Those holes are cleverly design by material engineer, precisionly caculated to have a limited life span, juz in time for their new rang of product on the shelves.

In reality, the damper last longer than the bracket. If the damper leak, u will say the product lousy. But if the bracket gives way, the manufacturer say u are a rough user. The process repeats itself.
