Personal distaste for parasitical businesses that add no real value to the riding community. Even goods middlemen provide a service (buyer/seller representation). This guy playing bike market like stock market, which is CLEARLY NOT WHAT IT EXISTS FOR. Legal you say? So what? He operates with bad business ethics, and exposés exist to make sure businesses like this disappear bc the community frowns upon it! Look, everyone's been burned as a newbie 2b rider before. But the experienced ones here are quick to flick off 'stupid buyers' who get (sorta) scammed by this dude. I'd rather stand on the side of the uneducated buyer coz sometimes its not their fault if they have busy jobs and aren't savvy enough to research. Not everyone is as free as ppl like us typing long forum posts. Plus he gives us genuine private sellers a bad rep. If a lot of riders get burnt and are unhappy w the second hand market bc of one dude, that's a disproportionate amount of negative sentiment generated by one black sheep. Trust lost in the community is very hard to gain back. Then we all suffer. Isn't it obvious taking such businesses down has more net benefit to the community? He's not stupid and seems quite resourceful. Obviously has a lot of capital too. Can't he find better ways to make money instead of preying on those with less options and less knowledge?

try visualizing your own actions mentally over and over in your head before you get onto the bike, how you're going to turn, what's your body position, at which point on the road you're going to turn. All the advice given above is helpful, but its down to you doing this mental prep before getting onto the bike. If you don't, you'll find progress to be slow since you will most likely end up gabra-ing due to nerves and be unable to think in time. This is much like mental visualization used by top athletes and has been proven to be critical to performance. Another crucial tip is to always remember where your rear wheel is. too many riders (and drivers too!) have a bad spatial sense as to where the rest of their vehicle is when driving and only focus on what they can see i.e. front wheel. This is how sharp/wide turning happens. Think of lorry and bus drivers (any long vehicle) and notice how they have an amazing sense of where their whole vehicle is even though the cabin is only at the front. Keep that in mind when maneuvering your vehicle. Lots of bikers don't develop proper spatial awareness but get by in real world riding because a motorcycle is sufficiently compact. Lots of bikers do sharp right handers, even up to class 2 on junctions riding their nice flashy big bikes lol..

Hi to all the experienced bros out there, have a question regarding the handling of the Vara 1k for a shorter rider I'm 169cm with a 29" inseam. The tallest bike I've ridden is a DT200r (for like half a year as a daily rider), which is the older version of the wr2. It's a 2-stroke, with a 895mm seat height. Both my feet can't touch the floor at all (even if i extend fully, not even the tips of my toes touch the floor!) on this. When I stop, I'll shift my weight to the left and put only my left foot down and balance using just the tip of my foot. I'm pretty comfortable riding it this way, since when moving it doesnt matter whether your feet can touch the floor. I can ride confidently and i LOVE the height of a scrambler cuz it allows you to see over traffic =D compared to my zxr4 which had pretty poor visibility imo. So my dream is to ride a big ADV bike, with my eye on a used vara 1k. It's seat height is listed as 838mm, which is lower than the DT200r, but the DT200r has a skinny seat width-wise which makes a big difference. The vara seat looks pretty fat haha. Also, the DT200r is a super-lightweight bike (120kg?) versus the behemoth that is the vara at 270kg wet. And I've also read forums that say it's top-heavy compared to the lighter v-strom (240kg) which supposedly has a lower and more manageable CG, which will prob make a difference for a shorter rider. So my question is this - would it be a bad idea to go touring up north on a vara for a rider like me? We're assuming I have some skillz in handling a bike... but we all know sometimes sh*t happens and in those instances a smaller, lighter bike would probably be better. If that's so, I guess I'll just have to look at other options like maybe the versys 650 or f650gs (the single). But they are kinda underpowered imo (yes, I know there's that guy who rode his ksr110, and i know there are people who tour on vespas/waves etc, but let's just say my preference is for more power, is that okay?) Not really considering lowering options cause i feel like that's just messing with the intended bike geometry, but I'm okay with cutting seat though. I haven't gone 'viewing' and sitting on other people's bikes to 'test' it, because I feel like I should do my homework online first before wasting people's precious time. I'd be pretty miffed if a short guy came to sit on my bike and left immediately saying he couldn't handle it. Like, no respect yo. Lol. Time is precious! So...TL;DR, Any short riders fitting my height profile out there who have handled this beast up north to somewhere like chiangmai and lived to tell the tale? Also, it seems like when crossing mekong you need to get the bike on a boat, how's that even possible with such a phat bike? Does that mean only light-weight bikes will be able to do that? Thanks in advance for the replies!

hey I wanna ask...how does a rxk compare to rxs115? cosmetically they look quite similar.. googled quite abit and it seems like they have similar hp despite 20cc difference in engine. Which is the more problematic bike? are rxk spares easier to come by since its slightly newer?
