Good point. Maybe the mech adjusted the carb tuning so that at startup you need to throttle a bit but once warmed up the engine will idle at a much lower rpm thus saving fuel.

Just in case, check your choke lever to ensure that it's fully in or out, not halfway.

Pardon me for interjecting but I'm actually wondering how would a 4-stroke bike could easily have its piston seized up when the engine of 4-stroke bikes are constantly being lubricated with 4T oil

i'm guessing this....

dun check the engine oil level long enough... 'eat engine oil' and the jam would occur soon enough...

oh let me assure you... it happens. :D

It happens when the rider has the bad habit of dropping gear at high speeds to magically get more power.

Bajaj Pulsar 180 - UG3 (2007 - )

Suzuki GSXR-400 (2008 - 2009)

Piaggio Vespa GT 200L (2009 - 2011)

Yamaha YBX 125 (2010 - )

Yamaha FZ S1 '05 (2011 - )

Okz...

I suppose doing that actually makes it almost the same as a rider being harsh on his 2-stroke bike
