glad you enjoy it.

since got time, share with you all the incident.

The incident:

It all happened too fast. I needed only a split second to react but that was a luxurious request for me.

We were ascending up the hill in convey, at a speed slower than usual, 20 to 40 km/h. The rain was intermittent, rain and stop, drizzling and pouring at times. The road was wet, very wet. Running water could be seen on some parts of the bends.

All were negotiating the bends at our best. RSM (STX1300) overtook me, followed by Stan (Fazer1). Marlboro (Shadow400) was infront of me, meticulously tackling the bends with his 2 side boxes and pillion gf, slower than normal.

I signaled to overtake, I did. The next moment I found my front tyre crossing the road shoulder, filled with gravel. I braked. It stopped over the gravel and the momentum gave a sudden push and my wee-strom dropped and slided to the right. A skid mark from the foot rest of 3m was visible on the road shoulder.

Landed on the right side of my body. Most impact was absorbed by the right shoulder. At that moment, I was clueless what was going on. A dark cloud passed over my head (inside the helmet, possible?). My lung was compressed (who knows which one). I tried to sit upright but only managed to crouch. I retrieved my right leg from under the bike seat, trying to stay calm. I tried taking a deep breadth but my lungs could only allow small intake of air. I was in great shock. I did not feel any pain. The next one hour, I would crave for a nap so badly that I have never asked for in my life before. Like Mr. Black, sleeping is a waste of time to me. How would I ever ask to sleep in that weather and condition? I made at least 3 requests for a nap but I was never granted.

Marlboro came to my aid as he was just behind me. I remembered whispered to him on the ground crouching, ‘direct the traffic’. Hardly any sound came out of me, but he heard it and did exactly to ensure traffic from behind were cautioned. Next, the arrival of the Gr8white. It was such a comfort and strength to see the big white gold wings in a distress situation (mah chiam the Almightly). I regained my voice gradually but still hard to breadth in normally. The pain begun to be felt on my right shoulder. I was told to turn my head, raise my arms and stand up. I did all. Gr8white, Jason and Karl-Max helped to lift up the bike.

I looked around, saw my uv visor came loose from my helmet, casing of right front signal light, helmet swivel cover scattered on the floor. Gr8white helped to pick up all and fixed the signal light casing (what a piece of art). Gr8white gf was doing her best to calm me down, providing umbrella, chewing gums, medicine. Jason, HeeHor $amm helped around. Gr8white sent someone to inform RSM for a replacement rider if I couldn’t make it. However, he never gave up pushing me to mount the bike. He went one round with the bike to ensure that it was still working and the alignment is ok. Requested me to mount the bike 2nd time but the pain which passed from the shoulder and the back was too unbearable for me to lift up my right foot. I took the painkiller, actifast panadol. Waited for a while for the medicine to take effect. Gr8white made another request for me to sit up the bike on main stand. And with the help of Jason, they pushed down the main stand with me sitting on. I stretched out my right hand to reach for the throttle. The pain was excruciating. But riding position was the most comfortable of all. I rode on, with the Gr8white behind.

On the way, RSM met me with CSM and Stan and another guy in a Camry. Didn’t figure how did RSM manage to drive one. I signaled to them to carry on and they led me up to the strawberry café. Had a strawberry ice-cream and it definitely calmed me down.

For the next 2 days of the trip, I was enjoying all the rides and the accompanies of the team with the agony of pain tho.

Thanks for all the cares and concerns showered on me.

Thank you Seastorm and Stan for helping me with the food.

Thank you Garry, $amm, Stan, Karl, Jason, Larry and many more for assisting me by lifting a finger or two, that was a great help in time of need.

Thank you Gr8white and gf (hope I didn’t add stress to her already stressful situation) for the unceasing role to comfort and strengthen. Don’t think I can make it without your push. Don’t you ever give up your wings of shelter.

Thanks to RSM for his resourcefulness (what a great mark of a true leader), and various plans to assure and ensure that both me and my bike will reach home safely.

Thanks to Auntie Anne for the koyok. It made my second day a breeze.

Thanks to CSM for his efforts and humour to defuse the tense situation brought by the incident and continued the ride with fun and laughters.

Trust that the incident will add caution and wisdom to the many rides we will have in future.

Thank you all a million.

I enjoyed this trip greatly, forgetting the pain at times.

Look forward to repeat the ride with you, minus the pain.

well...we go as a platoon and definitely come back as one...With RSM, CSM and all the Stuck Sergeants.....We will progress to make us a better riders...

We learned from experience, and ur perseverance is so solid and u completed the whole trip despite the injury... *Salute* u man...

Speedy recovery....:thumb: :thumb:
