I can confirm there is a set of topbox bracket and baseplate available at Mechinda Bike Acc shop at Pertama. The GIVI shop at Jln Ipoh will be receiving the Fuoco brackets and screen by third week September.

Tel me when you guys plan to ride up. I'll be happy to take you all up the twisties of Awana / Genting.

Great. Do a Saturday departure to arrive KL by late afternoon, then we can meet up for a quick dinner. Sunday morning we meet at about 8am and ride the Ulu Yam / Batang Kali / Genting Highland twisties for breakfast at Coffee Bean. Then we can ride down to Awana and either blast Karak highway for some 'high speed' fun, or we can take the old Gombak road if you prefer more twisties.

You guys will be back in KL by afternoon for lunch, then leave for home by 1400, reaching SG by 8pm.

Bring along as many Mega Scoots from SG. It'll be fun.

BTW, do check your radiator hose which is known to rub against the radiator fan motor housing. It will eventually cause a rupture. This is a well known problem affecting the Fuoco. It only requires a simple cable tie fix.

I can now confirm that the Fuoco windscreen and the Fuoco rear top box brackets are available from KL.

Windscreen + Mounting Brackets: Sg$ 200

Bracket for TopBox with mounting Plate : Sg$ 160

Only two sets are available for now. The windscreen is especially good value as the Original Fuoco items from Piaggio are about Sg600 per unit.

Presently even the reds are sold out. The next shipment will arrive in 2 weeks time...only 6 units of black, among them, 2 units are booked.

Go book with your dealer.

For Silver (there are no white in the production), there should be a batch coming mid next year.

you got to get it quick! I love the bike so far! and the attention it gets is still strong! rides nice and easy.. only problem is the small fuel tank that can only do about 220km other than that, its a perfect city bike ;)

Hi Brembo,

I called Piaggio to check and the person told me the waiting time is 2 months!!! haha.. guess you really have to wait for good things.

Anyway i think one of the booked units is mine. Hopefully it'll arrive soon cos public transportation is a killer especially since i travel alot in the wee hours of the morning and there's only cabs avail.

BTW, whats the approx. cost of the topbox with brackets and mounting plate? keen to get one. thanks.

Dyno-88, I've ordered my Leo Vince exhaust two weeks ago and should be here anytime. Its about RM1,500 so possibly cheaper in SG.

I hope its not too noisy, and will give at least equal or more power. The primari reason for my purchase is I find the standard exhaust ugly and ungainly. I also wat to lose some weight and was made to understand the Leo Vince is about 6 KG lighter. That's a lot of unsprung weight thrown out, and the rear suspension do not have to work as hard on the bumps.

BTW, the rear topbox mount is less than RM200. You'll have a choice of which Givi topbox you want.

Hi Mr Magoo,

I have just fitted my Leo Vince exhaust to my bike yesterday and I must say that it sounds really nice... ;) It cost my about S$750 and is rather loud. I have taken some pics and will post it on soon. You can also check out the pipe in youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zq3fJam8m4

Btw, your deduction on changing the exhaust are all accurate and correct.

Cheers buddy!

Congrats. Pipe is delayed and since I'm going to Brindisi, Italy mid November, I'll shop around there myself. Planning to pick up a pair of rear shocks as well. Maybe a Malossi variator kit.

As i put more kms on the bike, i find myself getting really comfortable throwing it around and with slightly higher speeds, I'm beginning to find certain handling characteristics that was ok before starting to trouble me.

1. Handling on bumpy roads is pretty shitty, probably due to the two wheel configuration in front ( probably incurable ) and the rear unsprung weight ( somewhat curable with the Leo Vince and new shockers )) .

2. Weaving on high speed ( above 150km/h) sweepers, that sets in if the road is slightly less than smooth. This is due to the rear rather than the front. The weave is more disconcerting rather than dangerous. It takes some time for the bike to settle. Again I think this can be cured with better aftermarket rear shocks.

Still Loving my Fuoco.

Why not u go for after market disc? are u sure the Fuoco rear disc can put on your Runner front disc? the screw holes are the same? u better double check. unless u willing the drill some holes which is strongly not advisable.
