Chorming parts

I had heard that kallang bahru or geylang bahru got do chorming of parts when i was welding my speedo at a vespa shop at ubi. that guy told me take the speedo go the shop at the corner say his name can get about $5.

 

i wonder if its true that chorme small parts is that cheap???? how the quility like?

today went to the wrong shop i guess was at the shop at blk 81 and saw 2 shops i went into the one with the chinese fellows. i ask for a quote for my speedo and it cost $40. he say he uses copper also to chorme parts and the quility last longer.( i wonder how true is it)

 

anyway henry i asked about your frame he said that chorming frame usually cost about $300-$700.

 

tomolo i'm going down to search for other shops in SG.

header can be chormed but it may cost a bit more i guess, anyway i'm not doing this bussiness or trying to promote anyone but you can go to the shop i went to today

from the talks of the shop owner of the chroming shop only metal can be chrome. but still we get chorme plastic for phantom.

 

anyway i was too busy and lazy to check out on other chroming factory for quote. so henry how was your search?

I think if the entire bike was chromed, it will be very dangerous, coz your bike will "merge" with the surrounding!

Price not sure but there is one on the 3rd lane with a banner on chroming at Shun Industrial Park at Ubi.

Saw an ah pek riding a vespa along Jalan Basah.

 

He chrome the 2 big humps of his vespa only and match it to the cream colour paintwork as well as cream colour rubbers.

 

The chrome part was definitely mirror finishes. Can see my reflection and pimples on my face while I was stopping next to him.

 

Makes me gian gian want to chrome something also.
