I'm seeking those who maybe work in an Insurance company or someone who knows the answer I'm seeking.

Question: What are the needed information that an Insurance Company (Be it NTUC, Mitsui, AIG... Etc.) required so that they can given an accurate quotation of Insurance for a particular bike.

Well, I'm looking to purchase a Class 2 Bike, however, I'd want to enquire about the Insurance Premium of each bike before making a final decision, as a Cheap Machine Priced bike, might get myself hit by the Insurance.

P.S. Maybe when listing out the Information, you can give in this format.

1) Age of Rider

2) Bike's Year of Registration

3) Bike's Brand

4) Bike's Model

5) Rider's Experience

6) ...

7) ......

8) .........

9) ............

10) .............. So on So Forth.

Thanks! :thumb:

yamaha and honda share the same points if i remember correctly..

so they're pretty much on par..

Some people measure their adventures in miles or days. I prefer "lamp posts".

What's NCB?

And I'm mainly looking at a Ducati.

NCB is the additional no claim bonus discount.

If u good rider no accident and no claim then the grant u the discount.

got significant difference in price.

Eg.

Base premium $1000

After 20% ( maximum NCB ) $800

Wif GST $800 X 1.07 is wat u pay

How's the NBC calculated?

All the while I've been the Sub Rider to my father, we've never claimed anything, and my Dad have not claimed anything from Insurance for a few years now, be it Car or Bike.

So the NB will still be granted upon the new Insurance premium for a different vehicle?

Oh, and is there still a difference between the Main Rider and Sub Rider Insurance. I know NTUC takes into consideration the 'lousier' rider, so Premium will be based on that person. How about other Insurance Companies?

odd... I guess the higher premiums for Kawa bikes only apply to the Sportsbikes?

I have enquired twice at Evershine for a VN1500 & VN900. Insurance was below my expectations.

erm i hope i'm not wrong but its actually NCD = No Claim Discount.

Kawasaki holds the highest in NTUC Insurance Point System, next is Yamaha, Honda & lastly Suzuki.

Check out the insurance quoted is under which company. Mitsui hold the highest quote followed by NTUC, Allianz & lastly AXA

The above information is based on latest recollection of 2007
