Dear Fellow Riders

 

It took me a few hours to have the courage to post this, i just want to share with you a prelude..... I have lost many frens on the road

But this one is the closest to me. Even though my other job i am always on the road it is sad to hear another one of us lose the battle to survive.

 

Well here goes.

 

I feel very bad and sad over the trajedy that happen last sat morning.I can literally feel the impact.

We have lost another rider and worst someone close to us. I can still recall clearly when the arwah call me

on friday evening. I was at Kuala Selangor having dinner when he ask me.. am i at KL that nite. I told him i was.

He ask wheater can he and zura bunk in to my hotel for the nite. As he say he want to be in KL early. I told him

It should not be a problem. He told me that if my frens say ok. He will leave Friday to come over to KL to find me.

i consulted with my frens and they are ok with them coming over.

 

I then call up the arwah and informed him that my frens give a go ahead sign for them to join in. The arwah was

overjoyed and happy. He told me he plan to leave at 8pm that fateful night. I didnt question him on why the sudden

change of plan on his side. He was supposed to leave on sat afternoon and check into the hotel by 4pm. FYI he and

me happen to book the same hotel. Prince Hotel at Jalan Conlay. So he ask me again what are the petrol stop before

reaching KL. I told him it is pagoh and seremban. He acknowlegded I then told him.. to go easy and no rush to come over

to KL as i wont be sleeping early.

 

Plus i know the arwah have some problem riding in the nite with his current bike status.

As he informed me the headlight for his bike isnt good aa the bike is using a race fairing. This is what he told me when we

have kopi at KTM after the melaka makan trip. He plan to get a goldwing or a FJR on his K6 has reach the breakeven point.

He even start to recognise that going track is an expensive hobbies. I told him that the amount of tyre u spend on is more

better to be use for other factors. Going track for an experience is ok but for regular use without going for race is merely

wasting of time and precious money. Why not use the bike for other purpose.. venture into the unknown or go touring and

discovered place u never been.This was echo by zura herself that riding the bike into track was wasting money.

 

He was so keen to go KL again he ask me and servo when is the next KL trip. He plan to get rid of the race fairing

and start preparing for touring. he want to go for touring now.Back to the KL trip. After i spoke to him. He sms me about 8 plus

He told me that we will reach KL by 2am. And want me to wait for him at Sungei Besi Tol. He told me not to sleep. I sms him back

I wotn and will be waiting for him as long he bring 6 ramly burger.

 

As i waited for his call or sms that he has left singapore, i felt uneasy. I was at Ampang Point with the KL Superbikers group. One of

them is Razin notice i keep on lookin at my hp and look worried. I told to Razin that i am expecting a Singapore biker to come up and

join me at KL. I told him that he was supposed to be at Sungei Besi by 2am. But the time is now 2am and yet no called or sms. I told Razin

that maybe he cancel the trip becoz Zura maynot be comfortable sharing room or Man is not confident to ride in the night. Seeing that no call or

sms was sent to me. I went back to my hotel at 230am. Half of me want me to call or sms him or go to seremban to wait for him. To welcome him

to KL. I was about to praise him for coming up KL by himself and he was new to such events. And i promised him the time at KL will be fun.

 

So i tried to stay awake till 4am. I feel aslseep but then i did try to see my hp got any miss call or sms coz i dont want the arwahnya to wait for me

by 5am i already knocked out.Then at 7plus i recieved a call. It was neo.Neo say...wan kau tahu cerita tak? i told him.. cerita apa? .. Man dah meninggal.

I was SHOCKED. When? bila? Neo say this morning bout 1am or so. My mind went blank. Then i ask him Zura how? She survived and now at Muar.

I just stoned.

 

When i am ask him more details. He doesnt know. Neo just told me is very very down. I told him sabar aje. I told him i call him back later

I put down the phone and compose myself. It cant be. I called up Servo and Cdah on this to double confirmed. Both didnt know till blade call me. My heart

sank. My roommates was as shocked as me. We clear the hotel room for them and get extra comforters and pillows for them to sleep. We even make a space for them. I just cant believe it. Terbantut nak tido balik.. i just went into a dazed. Someone i just spoke 12 hrs back is now gone forever. Just before the trip the last sunday he and me talk bout the KL trip. He was excited and lookin forward. He told me all his plans. Want to go KL and chill.

 

Till today i cant forget the times i interact with him from Changi Village, Melaka Umbai, KL HRC, KTM, Team Victory Wedding Convoy and the last call i and sms i recieved from him. No amount of words can describe my emotion now. I was waiting to welcome him with open arms but i was welcome with bad news. After my KL trip i rush down to muar to find zurah condition.I was relieved that she can speak and move around cept the waist area. It hurt me more when she say where is man.. i just told her that man has return to singapore.She ask me is the rest of the gang coming i told her they are on the way.

 

She look happy when she heard the gang is on the way. I keep on assuring her the group is coming up. She then ask bout her son and i told her that her son is also coming. I did try my best to cheer her up but i think on her mind is only man. She aplogised that she cant come to KL. I told her that is not important. Is well being is more important.Her aunt all spoke to me about this matter.Managed to spoke to her brother on the possible option. I hope the bro take our advice in good faith. I feel very very sad that this has to happen. She look abit sad and frustrated. I told her to be patience.Just before i left Muar Hospital i told her to take care and see you in singapore again.And i made my way back to Singapore.

 

As i rode back i cant forget and i keep on rewind the image and our time at KL the first time. That KL trip will be his first and last trip. I will always keep that picture. I dunno will i breakdown thinking it over again. I felt as if i played a part on this. If i had say no to his request i dont think this will happen. He would still be here talking to you guys. To all you guys here. Pls accept my apologies on this i never expected things will happen this way.... I share the same sentiment as our bro neo.I was probably the last person he add in friendster.

 

To the late bro Norazam aka Mantol. I will always remember you in my heart and my mind. I will ride and remember you always.It was a BIG honour to ride with you from Melaka to KL and having Kopi with you. And i pray that you will be put among the good man in god arms.

 

Lastly

Pls ride safely and ride within your own limites. other can comment on you but end of the day it is your called. You chose what you want.
