Route 1 towards LAMPANG was a !@%$^#$@!!! The road was like a high speed bumpy course which i had no choice but to push on. It was getting dark and i did not want to end up riding in the mountains at night.

Finally!!!

Well, I mentioned that i did not wish to ride in the dark, but.. but... but.... I still ended up doing so! 1 Irony to note. I was 20KM out of Hua Hin the previous day. Saw the 20KM sign and was happy. Then.... IT STARTED POURING! This time, I saw the 20KM sign to Chiang Mai. It was at night too, AND IT STARTED POURING AGAIN! GRRR!

Spent another two hours wondering along the little Soi (backlanes) of Chiang Mai looking for a place to stay.

Western House Hotel - THB400/night. Very nice place for the price i would say!
