must spray soap water on the decal and the applied location first..thats how i do it.always works.after aligning, mop out the soap water with a card...

wouldn't the decal get wet, more easily to peel off and will not be sticky?

Best is to cleanse the surface with detergence or solvent, to keep out dirt or oil...

Next determine the location/spot that where your sticker will house...

Peel out part of the sticker (do not peel out the whole piece out of the backing) then slowly stick from one side to other (do not press to hard yet in case you need to peel out again)...

Meanwhile try to search for any bubble/air that being trap...

Reverse back the sticker if any...

Once the whole sticker is being place in wanted location/spot, press hard on the sticker to secure it tightly onto the surface...

Job done... but if any bubble occur can use a pin to poke and release out the air that trap inside...

**When DIY or buying sticker, try to avoid 90deg or sharp corner !!! Why ???

Cos when travelling a high speed, wind will peel off the high pressure area (pointed area) easily...

3M, Oracal etc are some of the establish brands ard....

Here are the pdf for your reference... Hope helps...

for bigger pieces of stickers or surfaces with edges, soap water will do better. small pieces, heaven51's method will do.

I really don't get it. Spray soap water on the sticker..... as in the surface or the sticky part? Then, spray on the surface that you want to paste the sticker, right? But won't that makes the sticker less sticky?

i read in fast bike mag the trick is to use those window cleaner and spry on to the sticky side of the sticker. this enables the sticker to be move and adjusted freely b4 the window cleaner dries up and it sticks like normal

use soap+water or window cleaner spray on the surface u going to stick. totally peel the sticker from the paper backing and spray it with some soap solvent too. place the whole sticker on the surface..it will be easy to move and adjust due to the soap water. and it wont affect the stickiness. once u think it is ok..use a card or similar and 'scrape' or push out the liquid in between from left to right.. it will stick nicely without air traps..if got plastic layer on top..peel it off only when it is all settled.

this is what i saw when the time i was at juzz wheels. works especially well for large stickers

I agree with this. Ive tried before on cars and a bike and it works pretty well.

*if u have hairdryer to dry off the soap the better. use extension plug from ur house especially those living in sengkang/punggol, where the multi-storey carpark connected to ur house. thats how i did it. ;)

Soapy water is to allow the sticker to be adjusted and bubbles to be pushed out. Once it dries up sticker sticks like normal. You may also want to use a hair dryer to shorten the drying time and the heat will also help "mould" the sticker to the contour of the surface. Hope this helps...
