I went to JB on a sunday morning the week before - 9 am thereabouts - driving - and there was a massive que at the Woodlands causeway for bikes - I think its the time when the shipyard workers go back. Coming back from JB into Singapore at about 1230 was quick in the car.

 

Went in again last saturday night - about 9 p.m.via Woodlands - bike lane was free - so was the car lane. Came back in after pumping petrol at about 10p.m - cars - chocka block!!! Bike lane was free then.

 

Saw a nice A* Plate ST11 who had to manouvre around my car at the U turn after shell (sorry! stupid car in front block my way).

 

So if my guess is right - sunday night about 9 -10 should be ok to cross causeway - pump at the shell and then U turn back on a bike - not for the car.

 

Calculated my savings = SGD 5 for 1/4 tank - but wasted 45 minutes at the causeway coming back. OK for the bike i guess.

 

Which brings me to the point - how come causeway incoming jam chia lat one ah?

depending u think worth it or not, stuck at the jam, wear n tear to ur bike, overheating etc, the $5 worth it? but different people got different views.

Actually i was driving and it was not worth the effort..however - i was in woodlands and decided - ok - the causeway looks empty and just go! kana sai on the way home!!!! sianz!
