i am interested to view. The next ice cream outing i can't make it, it's exactly on the same day as my exam :pity: By the way, u are extremely helpful, no questions ask when i wana see ur HIDs. But its good if can find a really dark place like the NSHW to test it out.

By the way, wat sort of job u do  Very weird hours u work :?

can be arranged. not a problem

i teach tuition on sat afternoons.

fri nite n sat nite at zouk as security bouncer. i control the traffic outside of zouk. hence i see all sorts of cars with all sorts of HID(though they are the same)

those aftermarket HIDs on projector headlamps are very glaring only at certain angles(tat is when they go pass the hump outside zouk) and looks bright when they are beside u. stock HIDs on *eg BMW on projector headlamps is almost the same as aftermarket. but definately not as bright.

other HIDs on normal headlamp assembly, are glaring when they are far and near u. and they are very bright on the road, i can see their white lights thrown far from them on the ground in front of me even when the place is well lited.

chance upon this site,,,

SP can install also right ????

yes, its possible. Ur bulb type is HS. HID now comes in all types.

in the past, 1st generation of HID mostly is just H7. becoz most merc use H7 and HID are meant for luxury cars (perhaps) thus there is a huge market for H7. (according to Limbat)

however, now HID comes in all bulb types, custom made is even possible. im impressed. for more details, u can PM limbat to work out a deal for u.

For those who have PM-ed me abt legality issues. IT is illegal. And Bright. And xpensive. This gives the 'wow' factor

anyway, my experience:

1. Passby 4 times TP with HID on. They dint stop me.

2. During Rd block, off the HID, on the normal light.

3. Inspection, simply remove one of the connectors and keep the HID, ballast and ignitor as it is. and say "sorry sir, my high beam not working, will replace one soon". of course, on ur normal headlight and gif a friendly look or something.

to play super safe, ask ur uncle or dad to go inspection for u. based on my experience, they usually check for illegal mod strictly. mostly on sportsbike. and they tend to 'not so wary of illegal mod' when rider is an uncle. or even better, auntie.

Ok... one of my biker friend is interested in getting a full HID system (you know who you are)

I managed to get a good deal for the no frills pack.. (i.e...simple packaging with everything inside, no fanciful stuff like instruction CDs etc... just simple ballast, bulb and the wires) but I need 5 pcs to make the order... they have it in H4 and H7 ... priced around SGD180-190 per set.

For those that knows Ken, he had installed the exact same one on his bike (H4)... those interested can PM me...

Bro.. confirm first hand and directly from the factory. I selected the loose packaging ones becos they are the cheapest in the line of product. It comes in Japanese , Korean, English, Chinese and No-frills packaging and each one comes with different pricing ranging from a few thousand RMB to a few hundred RMB although they contian the exact same thing. :sian:

I think it is a Hong Kong company with factory based in GuangZhou. I am getting the HIDs directly from the factory. Quite good product I would say... bright like all HIDs susposed to be and reliable (Ken has personally tested it for a couple of months already). They provide a 1 year warranty for their HID (but shipping can be a problem for the SG users).

There are 2 type of H4... one of them uses 2 bulbs (1 HID and the other halogen *edited from Xenon) and the other uses a mechanical reflector. Ken uses the one with 2 bulbs

Basically wat Fatbiker meant is - HID H4H/L = the low Beam is the HID & the high beam is a Halogen. This is similar to our Zoomlite HID H4H/L HID bulb set - but U must check if Fatbiker H4H/L set - the Halogen chnage be changed when the halogen is blown. Our Zoomlite HID H4H/L - Halogen can be replaced.
