I think it is a Hong Kong company with factory based in GuangZhou. I am getting the HIDs directly from the factory. Quite good product I would say... bright like all HIDs susposed to be and reliable (Ken has personally tested it for a couple of months already). They provide a 1 year warranty for their HID (but shipping can be a problem for the SG users).

is it possible for u to post the company name here? (or u could use PM thanks)

can u confirm with me the factory is in GuangZhou?

by the way.. who is ken? is he in spore? would like to see the quality before i make orders?

No more regrets.

China's awesome production ability at work again, crushing competitors with rock bottom prices, forcing everyone to follow suit, or outsource! :giddy:

Philips has patented the HIDs. Fact that HIDs are so expensive becoz producers have to pat philips $$

sometimes i wonder, why is it that the people(i trying not to use the word chinese) from china are able to copy things yet not get involved with the law.

remmeber the incident? industrial estate in China got clsoed down becoz another identical one was built next to it with much lower rate? :faint:

No more regrets.

bright ah ?

how much again to install

if blow , how?

normal Halogen bulbs produce 1850 lumens (brightness)

HID can go as high as 3200 to 4000 lumens.

from here u can judge how bright HIDs are. $280 for a set with 1 yr wrty.

the set im using now is already more den 4 yrs old. it is working fine.

No more regrets.

yeap, I have not come across burn HIDs bulb from korea yet ! Most of the time the problems lies wif connectors & wiring, even ballast problem are rare. Unless High Tension cables are use, U will have a misfiring at the HIDs bulb set so or later.

wat u mean by 1 is HID the other is XENON? HID bulb itself is already filled with xenon gas i thought? thanks for sharing! :cheer:

Sorry bro... it is a very bad typo error.... :cheeky:

For H4, one bulb is HID and the other is a halogen bulb...

There is also a type of H4 where there is only 1 HID bulb... it uses a mechanical reflector to control the shine area.

Basically wat Fatbiker meant is - HID H4H/L = the low Beam is the HID & the high beam is a Halogen. This is similar to our Zoomlite HID H4H/L HID bulb set - but U must check if Fatbiker H4H/L set - the Halogen chnage be changed when the halogen is blown. Our Zoomlite HID H4H/L - Halogen can be replaced.

Thanks Mr Lim... that is what I meant... one bulb Halogen the other HID.. :cheeky:

The halogen can be replaced if blown... it is secured by a small screw... remove that and the bulb can be change liao

haha... "undercut" is a bad word to use... it should be "more economical" :cheeky:

Although the price can be SGD100 cheaper, the brand and packaging are totally different. So comparing them alaone by price might not be fair.

When you purchase the HID from Mr Lim... you are not only buying the product, you are also getting his expertise, experience and local support in the same package. :thumb:

well, gotta see the quality first i guess.

Good Point! Quality definitely plays a very important part....

The product had been around for at least 2 years already... I think the supplier is definitely pretty confident about their product because they are offering a 4 years local warranty on their products.

In China, they have service centres and resellers in major cities and they run training sessions for installers and interested owners... I do say that that is a lot of effort to back up their product!

No way! You are an experience and resourceful business man... bikers in the forum are always singing your praises... that result is no way achievable just by having "more economical" products!

I will definitely pay you a visit and learn things from you (if you are willing to teach) when I am back in SG for vacation in March.

Intellectual Property rights is getting more serious in China also... but very slowly...

In a lot of cases... they did not violate the IP... just taking advantage of low labour cost, low rental and high volumes. A lot of production workers here are only paid RMB600 per month leh... that's like SGD120 niah...
